That is awesome, thank you !

I accessed the image from the Mears auction which stated circa 1946, but after I posted the image I discovered that it had already been posted by TNFOTO and specifically dated as 1946. Apologies for the extra work you undertook.

I have attempted to recolor the image to the blue uniform. I used the black and white from Infield fly for the figure and the pasted it into the original background. Nice work Infield Fly.

I have always wanted to see a colorized pic of Sweeney in the Manchester Maroons uniform but sadly I don't believe a better version of this image exists so I'm not sure if it'd work.
