Damn, this is shaping up to be the best finals we've had yet. I'm looking forward to seeing if Zamora and Martinez can complete the KO1 sweep.

Will a 50/50 split from them guys in the second half be good enough?

I think they do......or maybe not. I just looked at those results and forgot what I looked at. Oh well, back in two with some more results.

Just a little reminder,dont forget that there are two pretty decent heavyweight scraps on Showtime tonite. Chris Arreola vs Malcolm Tann and "Fast" Eddie Chambers vs Dominic Guinn. Not the greatest matchups,but a nice little doubleheader to kick of boxings BIG weekend. Peace and enjoy the weekend guys.

I'd like to be the first (well actually the second) to congratulate the Haymakers on a well-deserved championship!

I'd also like to announce to the league that the Beavers are breaking up the championship nucleus. Eddie Cotton has already been traded (ironically, for the guy who beat him this afternoon). I am entertaining offers for Ike Ibeabuchi, Tommy Farr (who might already be spoken for, not sure), Bernard Taylor, Rocky Kansas and Zab Judah.

Congrats on the four season run you've had Matt, you have set the standard.

All I honestly was hoping for this year was to finally beat Icetea - this was unexpected to say the least.

Next year, the Haymakers with have Yawe Davis in place of LHW Cuello and the duo of rookie Antonio Esparragoza and Torpedo Billy Murphy in place of Young Griffo and Jesus Meneses at FW.

I hope that Davis will eke out a few more points than Cuello has and the Murphy-Esparragoza duo should be able to at least match and perhaps beat Griffo's output. (Meneses has been worse then a place-marker).

I will not be making any other changes; hopefully I haven't made too many.

Congrats again Matt on four years of setting the bar.

Congratulations on a great season and a great victory Chris and commiserations to Matt. That's quite unfortunate to finish runner-up three seasons in a row but, unlike the rest of us, at least you can actually say that you made it to the Championship four times in a row. That's a fantastic achievement.

Thank you so much to Sal, Romultiltus, Romy and everyone else who has contributed towards making the UTBA such an enjoyable league to follow and be a part of. I'm sure season five will be just as exciting as this one was.

Now, on to the individual tournaments!

Davis likes to work in streaks and he's lose his last 5 so he's due for a big winning streak soon. Anyway, you don't have to worry he'll do better then Cuello. I don't think it's possible for him to do worse. Congrats on winning the championship it must be sweet after all the moves you've made to get here.

I look forward to adding Eddie Cotton to the Muckboys. He should prove to be a big boost to the Muckboys next season.

Also, now that the news that you are rebuilding next season let me be the first to say: . Gold teams around the league will surely start to celebrate at the news. Of course, considering that own almost the entire second round I'm sure the Beavers will be back on top in a couple of seasons.

REMINDER!!!!!!!!!!!
No roster cut/release or trade will be made official unless a PM is sent to the commish. I may not always catch a post here on the thread and I could miss your intentions if you only post it and not send me a PM. The PM is the only sure way to make sure your transaction goes through.
The post above, the release, was sent to me by PM. He will however remain on the Haymaker roster until the Individual tournaments are over before his release is official

I would like to finish the Individual tournaments before I accept any releases from the owners. So if you guys have some fighters you wish to release before the draft....please hold on to your list until the Indv. tournaments are over. Thank You.

Announcement!!!!!!!
I have released all of the Long Island fighters to the draft pool except the ones that are participating in the Indv. tournament.

Also, I have went on ahead and made roster changes for the teams that have already made trades and placed the fighters on their new roster. Anybody that has made a deal with the Antwerp Southpaws, I can not switch those traded fighters until his first roster comes in and is approved.

Fighters on the move:

Stockholm's Finest sends FW Torpedo Murphy to the World Champion Haymakers.

Haymakers send LHW Miguel Angel Cuello to the Muckboys.

MexiVilles send FW Terry McGovern to Left Jab Inc. in exchange for WW John Stracey.

Mitt Slingers sends Fly Luis Maldonado to Left Jab Inc.

Muckboys send LHW Miguel Angel Cuello to the Bald Beavers in exchange for LHW Eddie Cotton.

That should update all of the trades that have taken place the last two weeks except for any deal involving the Southpaws.

All-Star voting is close and the final fighters have been confirmed. For the Gold, Tony Tucker and Sergei Artemiev will be joining the team. For the Silver, Julio Cesar Chavez will take the second LW spot. The All-Star game will start now, I'll be editing the results into this post as they happen.

All-Star Game
HW
Tony Tucker L MD12 Max Schmeling

Tony Tucker UD12 Ken Norton

Elmer Ray TKO1 Ken Norton

Elmer Ray L TKO9 Max Schmeling
===================================

Gold All-Stars 2-2 (1) = 5
Silver All-Stars 2-2 (1) = 5

Tony Tucker must have kicked the ref's dog or stole his girlfriend because they were out to get him from the start. Tucker committed four fouls total in his two fights and lost 3 points for them, 2 of those lose points cost him the Schmeling fight. Tony came back strong against Norton and Elmer Ray just steamrolled Norton but Max handled Elmer rather easily to make sure the match was tied going into the LHWs.
===================================
LHW
Bob Foster KO6 Jeff Harding

Archie Moore TKO10 Matthew Saad Muhammad

Bob Foster KO2 Matthew Saad Muhammad

Archie Moore TKO6 Jeff Harding
===================================
Gold All-Stars 6-2 (5) = 17
Silver All-Stars 2-6 (1) = 5

Matthew Saad Muhammad wants to know why the Silver owners keep putting him in with the bad men who hurt him. Muhammad in 4 All-Star bouts has been stopped 4 times and dropped 15 times which really tells the story of the Silver LHWs. Foster and Moore give the Gold a big lead and now it's up to the Beaver boys to keep it.
===================================
MW
Charles McCoy L TKO12 Tiger Flowers

Charles McCoy L UD12 Carlos Monzon

Mickey Walker TKO7 Tiger Flowers

Mickey Walker TKO10 Carlos Monzon
===================================
Gold All-Stars 8-4 (7) = 23
Silver All-Stars 4-8 (2) = 10

Tiger Flowers taught Charles McCoy a boxing lesson as he just had his way with him. McCoy/Monzon was a war as both men traded power punches the whole fight. McCoy gave Monzon all he could handle but Monzon class showed in the end and Monzon walked away with a clear UD. Walker and Flowers traded rounds until Walker's power proved to much in the 7th while Monzon came out to prove he was the best MW in the UTBA dropping Walker in the second but Walker showed his heart to battle back, even the fight, and finish it TKO (cut). The Mick increases the Gold's lead by 1 and now it's on to the WW.
===================================
WW
Cocoa Kid UD12 Marlon Starling

Lloyd Honeyghan UD12 Marlon Starling

Cocoa Kid TKO7 Randy Shields

Lloyd Honeyghan L UD12 Randy Shields
===================================
Gold All-Stars 11-5 (8) = 30
Silver All-Stars 5-11 (3) = 13

Marlon Starling is one tough bastard. Lloyd Honeyghan out landed him 440-126 and scored 5 KDs yet Starling was still standing at the end. Cocoa Kid doubled up Starling in punches as well but Starling was still able to give Kid a scare with a cut and keep the fight close. He might now have won anything but for him not to get finished in either is impressive. Honeyghan would dropped Shields in the first but was unable to finish him allowing Shields to comeback and take the fight. A cut in the 7th ended a tight affair between Kid and Shields. The Silver needs to get on the ball soon or this match might be over. They better hope that their LWs can start a run for them.
===================================
LW
Beau Jack L UD12 Alexis Arguello

Sergei Artemiev L UD12 Alexis Arguello

Beau Jack L TKO7 Julio Cesar Chavez

Sergei Artemiev Tech Draw3 Julio Cesar Chavez
===================================
Gold All-Stars 11-8-1 (8) = 31
Silver All-Stars 8-11 (4) = 21

Silver got the series of wins it needed to close the gap some. Though I'm sure they wanted a few more KOs from Arguello. Now onto the FWs.
===============================
FW

Ruben Olivares UD12 Kid Chocolate

Ruben Olivares L UD12 Young Griffo

Jeff Fenech UD12 Young Griffo

Jeff Fenech UD12 Kid Chocolate
===============================
Gold All-Stars 14-9-1 (8) = 37
Silver All-Stars 9-14-1 (4) = 23

The Gold take another division leaving the Silver in a bad way. The Silver needs to make a move in the BWs as one of the 800 pound Gorillas of the UTBA is sitting waiting for them in the FLYs.
===============================
BW

Jose Medel L TKO4 Alfonso Zamora

Jimmy Carruthers L UD12 Alfonso Zamora

Jimmy Carruthers UD12 Jeff Chandler

Jose Medel Draw Jeff Chandler
===============================
Gold All-Stars 15-11-2 (8) = 40
Silver All-Stars 11-15-2 (4) = 29

Knowing that the Silver needed a big round Alfonso Zamora went out there and deliver but unfortunately for the Silver Jeff Chandler couldn't keep it going as he dropped a decision to Carruthers and fought to an even 6-6 draw against Medel. The Silver needs to win each of the last four matches by KO to take the match.
===============================
FLY
Vic Darchinyan KO10 Irene Pacheco

Candido Tellez L TKO6 Jorge Arce

Candido Tellez UD12 Irene Pacheco

Vic Darchinyan LUD12 Jorge Arce
===============================
Gold All-Stars 17-13-2 (9) = 45
Silver All-Stars 12-17-2 (5) = 34

Jorge Arce rolls through both Tellez and Darchinyan but Darchinyan slams the door shut on Silver's chances of winning in the first match by taking out Irene Pacheco. Congrats to the Gold All-Stars for the win this year.
