Skubal and ERod have starts in Toledo this week and maybe back at the end of this road trip. Faedo has a start at Erie and may be back in 10 days or so. If Boyd and Vest are not serious, this staff could be looking good in short order.

The IL numbers are just unreal.

Manning was very good last night in his return which is hopeful. That bullpen is getting thin and tired though. They desperately need ERod, Skubal, Faedo, and Vest to return soon and be serviceable. Mize sometime next month.

Sounds like Boyd is headed for Tommy John land; I wonder if this is just the end for him.

Green and Baddoo need to return too. I don't want to see Carpenter in left field ever again.

Minor takeaway from last night's game:

The equipment manager needs to burn Tyler Nevin's first baseman's mitt so it can't be used in a future game.

Turned on the Toledo game last night and the first thing I see is some guy drill a liner straight at Skubal's head. Luckily he got his glove up in time, but just barely. Decided I was a jinx, so I went back to watching the Mets game.

Oh and the highlight from the Mets broadcast last night was Keith Hernandez declaring that the Met's catcher was a Strat-o-Matic 2 defensively. Made my night.

For awhile the Tigers were stuck on a 2 games under .500 hump. They'd get to 2 games under than lose and fall back a bit until they'd get there again. Now, after their huge losing streak, they're stuck on the 10 games under .500 hump. They need a good positive streak. Hopefully their bats can get going and support their fairly good pitching.
