It was fine on the weekend. It only broke after you came back.

And I did see posts of yours up there last night and this morning. :P

Matt needs to make an assistant web admin to call the host and yell at them get the site back up. This is just the job to give Chris.

This is a great finish for the hometown fans in the new ballpark - Giants coming through huge!

Chris - the running joke whenever the TWB Server goes down is the you broke it with all your posts. It's a friendly joke that we all have been using since the TWB site went up. You've heard is a dozen times. No reason to send the blood pressure up.

I'm guessing we'll need to push back the schedule at least a day with the site being down all day? :/

Speak for yourself. I definitely plan on making a rule 5 pick.

Yeah, but you don't have anyone of note in your organization. The guys available in the rule 5 will probably make your top 10 prospects.

SIte works for me now, but I think we lost some stuff. The draft thread only goes through round 3, for example.

As long as you get a minor league team for him to play in, then yes I think he will be a decent player. The question is... Will he be forced to play in AAA only?

We're not pushing it back for the silly rule 5. I emailed the file. The site's up but I can't access ftp, so I can't load the current file or the rule5 web page. Once it's available, I'll upload.

Totally agree on that.

I'm not a big fan of giving them a variety of 1* player to fill out their minors. Does anyone really want to see that chum get development wasted on them that could go to other players on the Sens and Angels *or* our own players?

Seriously, if I were an expansion team, I *wouldn't* want a bunch of 18-22 year old 1* players down in the minors with literally no hope of amounting to much. They greatly run the risk of taking bumps that you'd prefer go to your players with a hope in hell of amounting to something.

Is it going to be lean for a while? Sure. But there really isn't any benefit to having a minor league system stocked with young *bad* prospects.

A 1 star prospect with a couple good boosts can become a serviceable player.

Also, just for reality sake, the Angels and Sens II didn't get all their players just through the expansion draft. They did their own scouting, like anyone else, and signed young kids into the minors system.

I din't know that the development enigne worked that way--i.e., there are a set number of bumps you are going to get on your team. Would it work the opposite way, too, then, that there are a set number of hits your team tkaes. If so, then maybe you want the scrubs around to dilute the odds of a star taking the hits.

My thought would be to ask the Twins about have "volume" of young prospects over a few strong ones in 1958-59. Hits-o-rama.
