Why do people want the game faster at the possibility of bugs and screw ups. I would rather see the game released as a solid game without major bugs then have the game 2 weeks earlier and some glitches....

It'll be out soon, just be patient.

Patience my friends ....... The game it will come in time.

We will all be much happier with a game that plays smoothly than with a game that causes hours of torment due to OUR wanting it before it is ready.

I am back to OOTP 5 , till the game is ready.... Patience ....

It's Easter Holidays here for the next fortnight. Dammit, I need OOTP6

And unlike you stinking Capitalists, I don't have OOTP5.

Fortunately, the next couple of weeks will just be filled with the excitement of seeing the Sox go 14-0 and Schilling go 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA. The time will fly...

OOTP developments will get my business when OOTP 6 has been tested and released, is proven a major upgrade over OOTP 5, and is a quality product. If so I will order sometime in 2005 when I am fully ready and inspired to do so.

Every version so far has been a major improvement on the previous version, so I don't have any doubt that this one will be as well. If you want to just stick with V5 or stop playing the game completely, that's your decision. But for those of us that have been buying the game for years and have always found it well worth the price, we have no problem with saving some cash and pre-ordering. It will come out, it will be a great, deep game that will keep most of us busy throughout the baseball season (and then some).

I am just annoyed at those that are basically ticked off at the company and the game because they think it's missed it's release date. There has never been an exact date as to it's release. Just some possible time periods and a probable worst case scenario. I want the game to be out now as much as the next guy but I don't blame Markus for anything but working his ass off to put out another quality product.

As for delays in general (and as I said, this game hasn't actually been delayed), just look at other games out there...

All-Star Baseball 2005 for PS2 was pushed back a few weeks. ESPN MLB was pushed back nearly a month. That's why it's best not to put a definate date when you don't have to.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

Although the cool thing about ESPN being delayed is that it looks like it's going to be $39.95, and well worth it over the turd EA laid for 49.95. Back on topic, if anyone wants to wait for the game to come out a demo it before buying, than so be it. I'm going to enjoy my extra $9 and buy some beer to drink while playing. (soda for all the kiddies out there)

Nothings up I took it down temporarily to try and reduce the number of stickys hogging up the top on the page. I'll add it back later sometime after the game's release.

OK guys... since there are now three sticky threads concerning the game's release, I'm going to shut this one down to try and clean things up on the front page. Markus "April Update" thread, and the "Speed up possibility" thread will remain open for your comments.
