Trade News!

Chick Gandil changes his Sox!

The Chicago White Sox have had had Chick Gandil on the trade Block since mid-way threw last season when they acquired Herry Heilman via Trade with Detroit.

Boston Red Sox have been searching for a right handed Bat off the bench and a quality player to back up Stuffy McInnis since the departure of Bill Hinchman. They got both today when Chicago agreed to deal Gandil for 19 year old Rookie Pitcher (#47 Prospect) Jack Wisner. Wisner pitched well enough to make alot of teams in spring but with the depth at MR Boston has he started the year on the reserve squad.

YIKE ... keep an eye on him while he's in and out of uniform ... be sure when the month of August comes around, that he refrains from losing his temper ... he has a bad mean streak ... I always wonder if he and Cobbs ever interacts ... otherwise, it is a very good move, for he is a solid player all around ...

Dubuc Blows it Big Time
The usually steady Jean Dubuc had probably the worst outting of his career blowing a 5 run lead in the 9th as Boston loses 6-5 in 11 innings!

Back to the Action!

Individual Fielding has been discontinued from early reports due to the quantity of post that would be required to make it worth wild. Having all players combined is just like listing all the SS and 2B's Fielding

WE HATE PICKLES!

Pickles Dillhoefer's leadoff single in the 3rd inning was the only hit in Bullett Bush's 1-Hitter. A 12-0 Thumping of Detroit. Bullett has been stingy his last 3 games allowing only 8 hits in 25 innings.

Me too, I should have been more conservative with the pics in 1918 cause finding new ones ain't that easy...good thing the Major Players have alot and we got new blood in via the draft.

Note: a DFO error may have cost us this one...I went to visit the mound with the bases loaded in the 8th inning and accidenty told Leonard to hit the batter (I had already visited the mound this inning)
