Yep! They had a power outage where he works and he has not been able to log on for the last couple of days. Glad I waited. He also has to go in for work tomorrow to make up for lost time, so he might even be around for his second pick. If not, I've got his list now. Good times, glad he could make it.

Ah, wow yeah it was a good thing you waited. I'm glad he was able to make it as well it would have sucked if he had missed it.

I have a proposal for anyone who is interested...

I'll trade my 16th and 31st picks in the draft to anyone who is willing to draft Julio Cesar Chavez for me.

Looking at the fighters still available, you should be able to pick up at least a 10 rated fighter and certainly an 8 with those two picks. That's 18 rating points in exchange for 11.

Bear is going to toss out his first time ever realistic trade offer. It is based on my interest in getting a personal favorite fighter that is still on the board. Had I been able to draft a #10, I would have selected Kid Chocolate solely because he's my favorite #10 ranked fighter in the game.
If some one would like a draft and trade offer I'm putting one on the table.

Either one of my featherweights
(6)Enrique Sanchez 11-9-0 (5) *pre-prime
(5)Charlie Riley 6-14-0 (3) *pre-prime

and (8)Orzubek Nazarov 6-13-1 (4) *pre-prime lightweight

are offered to anyone who will draft the Kid and deal him to me. I'd also listen to other offers and do some dickering.

I'm off to bed. Seeyas in around 8 hours.

If my turn comes up, SAL has my options.

Great pick Chris ... way to go taking a chance on him ...

(Really, getting him out of the Gold Conference is a bonus for Chuvalo - he's 0-3 against Schmeling so far)

Sitting at #2 coming in I only considered four possibiities: Monzon, Moore, Chavez and Schmeling. Although Tiger is an 11 with Monzon and all of the other monsters in that division he didn't appeal to me as an option for the second pick.

Faced with the choice of filling holes or best guy available I went for Moore even though both my light heavies made the tourney.

Trade Announcement:
Bears Unstable complete their first ever trade in the league with the Hebron Haymakers.

I think this might be the first trade ever for the Haymakers also.

Hebron Haymakers sends LW (5)Fabian Tejeda 19-18-0 (11) *pre-prime and their 3rd round pick this year to the Bears Unstable for LW (3) Justin Juuko 5-14-1 (4) *pre-prime.

Question/Thought

There are a handful of guys who are rated at more than one UTBA weight class. If an owner has one of these guys, can that fighter fight in the weight class of the owner's choice?

Take, for instance, Archie Moore. Now, granted, he is much more dominant as LHW. But let's just say, theoretically, that I had a guy like that and my division was weaker in HW than LHW, so I decide Moore will fight as HW this season. Next season, the division balance changes and HW is now stronger, so next year I release a LHW and move Moore to LHW.

I don't know that this has been discussed. Any thoughts?

Agreed, I'm happy to see Schmeling out of the Gold Conference as well. I really like the pickup for Chris as well since out of everyone in the draft Schmeling is going to provide the most impact right away, it's not everyday you can pick up a prime 10 for free.

The only question I have about this is, what will it do to the aging scheme of a fighter if you bounce him back and forth between divisions. Say you have Moore as a LHW for 2 seasons and he is at pre-prime, then in the next season you switch him to HW. Will the game keep him at pre-prime and his hidden number for him to advance to Prime. If so, I don't see a problem with doing this. If it doesn't work this way, I'd say we would have to wait until he retires as a LHW and then re-enter him in the game as a HW.

A note to everyone that I had various potential deals with, I have finalized deals with Romdawg, Bear and mh2365 and that puts me out of the drafting and trading business for a while.

My team is set - Icetea Boxing is going down.

Yeah - that's a good point, and I don't know how it affects fighter aging.

Mike may know, he has moved fighters between divisions and uses the aging feature. I use that feature but have never moved divisions.

Also, how would such a fighter count against his team's cap?

I just wish there was another premo HW I liked in the draft, as the Gold division is somewhat open. It will undoubtedly belong to Chuvalo unless Ike or someone else over-acheives.
