I dont think that would be a good idea. Chisanga wanted to slap you when you were behaving that way. A strong SDPM is a good SDPM.

That's just how it is pronounced in UK English. Not Duh-bee as in America.

dola it's like Shrewsbury, is it pronounced "Shrohsberry" or "Shrewsberry"?

Not even the locals can decide which it is.

Thats how it might be pronounced down south or on the eastern seaboard. Where i come from, we pronounce all the letters of the alphabet. We would say der-bi.

It's a bit like Birmingham, you pronounce it Birming-HAM, whereas here we pronounce it Birming-(h)um.

Since you are a local and English I will go with number 1 as well. And lets not even start with Leicester.

Thats just a difference on where to place the stress. There are a mindnumbing number of accents in America too. Missouri is pronounced differently by people from there than people from elsewhere.

If you look at how Shrewsbury is spelled, it's obvious it should be option 2. But that is our language for you that it could even be considered, but widely accepted to be option 1.

Well I've never heard anyone pronounce it other than Birming-HAM, but as I don't live there I wouldn't know obviously. I shouldn't have been nasty.
