There are many areas where such a tool could be implemented. In future versions, I hope to see not only such options included but used in conjunction with brief explanations that clarify just what it is you are about to do. I'm sure all of us can think of dozens of examples; most have been addressed through experimentation or discussion on the boards, but there still exists -- even in those areas -- no tanglible, written explanation that originates outside the forum community. For example, selections like Recalculate, Run Computer Manager, Auto Manage Minors, Reset League, etc... to name just a few.

Agree totally. In OOTP7 it'd be helpful if a pop-up box (that asks "yes" or "no") also explains generically what happens if you hit "yes." But that's harder to program and undoubtedly can't happen till version 7. Just adding a few pop-up boxes ("are you sure?") can probably be done easily in 6.5 if Markus is still taking suggestions.

While I'm a fan and advocate of situation-sensitive help files, these areas also are issues that can be addressed proactively with an effective and thorough manual prior to release that actually reveals effects without delineating exact results that would diminish both mystery and enjoyment.

Nobody minds a nudge now and then. Especially when it's one that moves you away from the cliff's edge.

This is a suggestion for V7...probably can't be in V6.5.

It would be nice if the teams won-lost record would be shown on the League Schedule Screen after a day has been played...what I mean is...if you go back and look at a certain date that has been played, all of the teams' won-lost records would be listed...just like they are on the schedule screen for the League's next playing date.

This way you could look back and see what a team's record was on a particular day in the season.

I also suggest that the pitchers ERA would be listed on the League Schedule page for games that have been completed...the game already list the ERA right by the scheduled starting pitchers W-L record for the League's next playing date.

At this late stage, this probably falls under the same category -- too late, but thought I'd put it out here anyway.

When a report opens up in what I call Notepad style with the players available in an html link form, wouldn't it be convenient to have the click open the player's info in a new window rather than having to return via the Back function or such depending on your browser? Would that be a difficult process to code, or is it simply a matter of which browser you'v elected to use to view these reports?
