Cards notes: Pujols returns from disabled list
I am back from Florida, along with the season opener between the Red Sox and Rays at Tampa Bay and a pair of Phillies-Braves games and Atlanta, and hope to plow through the final 26 games of the regular season.
As I don't expect the Cardinals to make the playoffs, the postseason will be simmed out. My first move, Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols is back on the roster after his second siginificant injury of the season. He has played in only 77 of 136 games. After a slow start, he was finally starting to hit before suffering his second injury -- this one an oblique strain -- that has kept him out since July 28. |
