Welcome back John! I must say that I am surprised to read that a board dispute may have led to your untimely departure. Thanks for the support. I'll try not to get so upset again. Rating fighters is one of my big joys. I have numerous lists including three volumes of the Ring Record Book so I will never run out of fighters to rate.

I've discovered that this fighter is rated as a bantamweight in the data pool with an OR of 8. I rated him as a JBW with an OR of 2. I tend to underrate fighters and that is why there is a difference from an unofficial rating such as mine and an official rating as presented by the TBCB2 rating team. Always use my ratings with caution.

Not only do I rate fighters but I also download other people's ratings from other threads. I always make it a practice however to double check any of these ratings with boxrec. Very rarely do i discover a mistake either by another forum member or boxrec. But sometimes I do. In the New Heavyweight thread was a fighter named Johnny Hooks who was said to have Ko'd Don Toro Smith in his only recorded fight. I discovered that there was some confusion. There was a Johnny Hooks on boxrec who had a record of 1(1)/0/0 but he was an British Lightweight. The fellow who Ko'd Smith was named Jimmy Hayes. So I rated Smith, Hayes and Hooks plus another couple of Hooks who caught my attention.

This what I found in my game. Noticed TBCD Team logo which implied to me that it was an official rating. I'm sure it's not mine so I don't know where it came from.
