Nice Air Travel, Chris. If we both win, you can take it from the Governor's Foot Guard Hall, all the way to the Convention Center. It's 1.45 miles. Maybe you can just roll it!

Well, it'll beat walking those mean streets of Hartford. Insurance salesmen lurk in every alley.

Funny being in the conf final and having it still feel like a consolation game.

Yikes!! I'm not sure if it was kitchen sinks or rabid minks (hope not turncoat finks), but that was toooo close.
We need a long rest before the final.

Congrats to the Binks on a great season and almost defeating a virtual powerhouse in Diggstown. The fever is spreading.

That was closer than I expected. Tiger Flowers is the middleweight champion again for the 15th time.

Yikes, we lost 3 of 4 titles. That's a steep price to pay for a win.

It's amazing that in the four year history of UTBA II there has been continuity from season to season in regards to the conference championships. When I say continuity, I mean that the champion from the previous season has always made it to the conference championship match the next year to defend their title.

The Haymakers have won the Silver four years in a row while in the Gold, Bonner Springs won in seasons 1 and 2 before Diggstown took it from them in season 3 and then retained it in season 4.

I like when it works out like that in sports. There was a period in rugby league over here in Australia in the '80s when it happened for six consecutive years, with the Eels three-peating ('81, '82, '83) before being defeated by the Bulldogs while going for four in a row. The Bulldogs then retained the title the following year before being defeated by the Eels in the '86 decider. In '87 the Sea Eagles beat the Raiders to break the continuity.

Agreed.

With fighter aging, we should see fighters approaching Post-Prime near the end of Season 5 or beginning of Season 6. That could potentially start a shift in the balance of power - unless the powerhouse teams are able to retool quickly and/or make a few shrewd trades to keep their edge.

Good point. I have a couple of guys that are nearing that post-prime stage as well. I had thought of tearing down this underachieving group but we did show a few signs of life and with Klitschko now doing well,Shavers still a force and guys like Castillo and others giving us a spark, just may go with the majority of these guys for one more run. I have tried to keep infusing youth so as not to get old too fast but the result has been that I have been a very mediocre team almost every season hovering around .500 with no playoff appearances to show for it. Well, time to get ready for next season, the Left Jab camp will report to training camp much earlier than in the past! Congrats to both of the combatants in the finals, two very deserving teams.
