I have been using actual starters for the 19th century.

Because they were either released too soon or not signed quick enough for a team on which they started a game that day.
You can put them in this thread. pstrickert is able to make adjustments. It is possible that only the 1901 forward period is maintained but I'm not certain of that, so that caveat said, go ahead and list them. No harm.

I maintain 1901 to present. But earlier entries exist in the DB, so I'll take a look.

Never thought of logging them when my simulation was in that era and I noticed the problem... good thing you are there.

Where are the Stats?

I hope this is the right place for my issues.

I am playing historical seasons and since I don't know how to use access I selected a data dump to .csv files. The problems I'm having is trying to find where the individual season totals are for the league. there are a lot of csv files and one that appears to have all the names of all the players for a given year, but that is the only spreadsheet file that contains all the names. So that's the first problem. Next is I can't find the actual end of year individual statistics. If they are there they are not in any form I recognize.

I've encountered the first problem, having statistics that are only identified by player id, before (Lahman database) and was able to cut and paste the player id and name to spreadsheets that contain the actual data, but I'm lost right now.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm new to OOTP.

So, I presume you are talking about the in-game results (and not literally the totals as per real-life history as those are on baseball-reference). This thread is for corrections to the bios and stats of the real-life players (so the game gets the players correct on import).

For use of the csv export function and what can be exported and the like, I'd recommend just posting for help in the General Discussions area here:

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...lay.php?f=4055

It's the subforum with the most traffic and someone that uses that export-to-csv function will come along (I've never done it).

Also, welcome to OOTP

Otis Miller comes in as "Otto" when he appears as a 1930 rookie.

Also, 1920s pitcher Sam Gray comes into the game as "Dolly" Gray. I see no reference to this name on BBRef. He should be Sam with the nickname Sad Sam as is the case.

I think this might have been improperly transcribed from Dolly Gray.

One more. DOB is correct but for some reason the age-seasons for Danny Clark's IRL stats are out of whack.

Thanks

G

There appears to be a Korean player missing from the database (I say "appears" because it seems as though the English representations of Korean names seem to change periodically). Specifically, I can't find Beom-jun Lee (lee---000beo, previously listed as LeeBe32704), who pitched for the LG Twins from 2008-11, anywhere, including the MiLBMaster.csv file.

Excellent, thanks! How do I import him now so I don't have to wait for the next patch?

Alas, the only way I can think of is to enter his bio info as the last line in the MiLB Master.csv file and then extract the Pitching and Fielding files from the minor league.odb and enter his four years with of data from baseball-reference. If you need any info (like Team abbrv or levels below MLB, etc.) go to a teammate's record for that year and copy/paste that info. Then wrap it all back up into a new .odb.

I've opened the MLB historical.database.odb many times and done this sort of thing but not the minor league one. It's both a very complicated and very straight-forward process at the same time.

luckyman,

Here's info on why Sam Gray retains the "Dolly". It's his nickname as his first name:

https://www.baseball-reference.com/b...Gray_(graysa01)

Don't know what's up with Danny Clark there.

Otto fixed to Otis. BR Bullpen explains the confusion.

Gotcha. Probably easier just to create him as a fictional player then. Since BR doesn't have a hometown for him, I'll do some digging. Won't be the first time .

Added: Here's his Korean Wikipedia page, if it helps: https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/이범준_(야구_선수)

Yeah, these early guys can be problematic. Thanks bud.

Got another issue for you or someone to look at.

The entire 1933 Red Sox pitching stat line for Lloyd "Gimpy" Brown is missing. Only his Browns stats from the same season are there.

Thx

A small thing: former NBA player and MiLB pitcher Scott Burrell (burrel001sco) should have facial type African, not Caucasian.
