okay, U23 players are not the problem. so, i think it is a problem with the database. Scott Feser has ingame his canadian nationality (of course, he is canadian), but when i look on the official website of Crimmitschau he has a german nationality to.
so i released two players and now i can start with the season

Hi,

Is the Prospect Tournaments something coming in the near future? I think it would be helpful in deciding which players you want to call up to the NHL and which ones may need more time in the Juniors/Minors before making the step.

Also, is there a hotkey to "sim to next day"? if not, is it possible to implement one?

Not if you're just GMing. HC makes all those choices.

When I nominate my Players on my own, game will crash when I want to simulate the game. Only Auto nomination works.

Bumping this to the top since I didn't see an answer. I don't think an NHL team should have a "parent team" tile and I would love to use that space for something else if there is a way.

It's a standard page that's not going to change regardless of the level right now.

Thank you for filling in for Jeff. I can only imagine he is in Times Square waiting for confetti to fall upon him. That's the only reasonable idea why he isn't moderating this thread. Happy new years, Jazzy Jeff.

I know that CHL affiliate teams are unplayable but I think the reason some of us are asking is because we want to be able to have a CHL expansion team stash some lower depth contracts into a lower league to call up as needed.

Can we no longer import our own facegen files to players/staff members? I click the Picture Options button, and the "Import PhotoFit(Facegen) file" is no longer in the menu

Not entirely sure why it's not showing in the menu. (Maybe you have to be in commissioner mode)? Mine works fine, so happy to say importing facegen's is definitely still a thing in FHM 8.

It's weird. It works completely fine on FHM7, but is absent from FHM8. Settings mirror each other and everything. Only difference, I guess, is FHM7 is on Steam and FHM8 is free-standing

Some else asked about this, but the easiest thing to do is manually putting them into the player_pics folder in your save, and then making sure you turn Facegen off so it doesn't erase it.

Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but is facegen enabled in your game settings? You can check from the main start screen by clicking Settings -> Facegen -> Enable Facegen. Just a thought.

I'd like to be lazy about it and click an option, but this seems to be the remedy. I do kinda wish the file name in the Picture Info card was copy-able to make it a tad faster naming the fg file but I'm just being a nitpicky whiner at that point. Appreciated

Yup. All the Facegen options that're enabled in FHM 7 are ticked in FHM 8. I wonder, if it's working for you, are you using the Steam version for FHM 8?

Shoot, maybe that might be it. I guess maybe the implementation works better for the Steam version and not the free-standing one. The one time I decide to buy an FHM so I can put it on an external drive
