Thanks for Gates.
One of his new teammates, Ernie Riles, doesn't seem to be in the facepack, which is surprising. 919 ML games, after all. But "riles" in the search only gets you Nelson Briles, oddly. Help? |

While facegen lets me fly open people's ears, that sadly doesn't stick with the .fg file... but I had both Elden Auker and Phil Collins redone already, so here's what I have.

Thanks. The Tigers will be glad to know they didn't waste that #3 draft pick on somebody who doesn't exist, I suppose.
Don Bowman certainly exists; he's a big hulking dude. But he found the lower minors a grind, and didn't start to shine until 1982 when, at age 25, he posted an .835 OPS for AA Charlotte. At which point, the Orioles…released him. Because, hey, dude, you're 25. And we're not really looking for first basemen, with Eddie Murray holding the job. In game, he shined a bit quicker, winning Player of the Week, Batter of the Month, and making the Carolina League All-Star Team in 1980. Thus prompting the Orioles to…release him. But this time he signed with Cleveland as a minor league FA. They bumped him to AAA Charleston, which was probably too much of a jump, as he struggled and was benched. But, hey, it's Cleveland. They'll promote anybody come September, apparently. So Big Don, who already got 3 innings as a defensive replacement at Seattle in June (one PA; he struck out, swinging) gets to sit by the shores of Lake Erie, watching the summer turn to fall. Secure in the knowledge he's made the encyclopedias…and, more importantly, the MLBPA pension plan. Attaboy! |

I was so waiting for that recounting to prove the O's so much wiser under the AI... but then the twist - they release him too! Now he's just a Mistake by the Lake. Ah, but still he dreams of the Orange & Black... Here's Donald Bowman in his dreams...

Not sure how he got under my guard but my Bucs' backup IF Charlie Irwin has started to irk me. He played from 1893-1902 and seems fairly obscure, so no biggie if this one's too tough.
Thanks G

I don't have a before for Charlie Irwin as I had done him previously. Here's the one I have...

Hay bud, you got a decent Tom Zachary handy? Mine is on the cusp of albinism.
Thanks G

Here's the smirking Tom Zachery that I've been using...
He doesn't have a minor league ID when see him in the game so the file that's saved as his bRef ID will be the primary one, so have the file saved as such... |

Thanks bud, no idea where they dredged up the one that loaded up automatically with my Babe save from...

Tommy was a tough one. Lots of pockmarks that facegen wasn't crazy about. That said, here's the before and after from my files for Tommy Griffith...

Another couple from the Ruth era if I may please: Charlie Hollocher (1918-24), and Curt Fullerton (1921-33).
Thanks bud. G

Here's Red Sox two-gamer winner of 1923, Carl Fullerton. Looks like quite the prankster in all his pics, but in the end, I too used the same picture as the default facegen (with his mouth closed but smirk intact) but cleaned it up...

They do indeed both look likely lads, and you have done them proud as per usual.
I suspect that in his later life, perhaps a grandfather by this stage, Carl only listened to two types of music: Country, and Western. Thanks bud. G

Sam Bohne is another from my Ruth save that desperately needs a blood transfusion - I presume you'd have one of him handy, please and thank you.
EDIT Sorry, a bit all over the shop here - that's what happens when you have as many saves on the go as I do! Two more currently playing for the Western Michigan Broncos in my ACBA who look incredibly unhealthy for men in the prime of life are Les Mann (1913-28) and turn-of-the-century household name Morgan Murphy (1890-1901). Thanks a bunch. G
