Couple of Mets issues... Josh Dunn and Bradley Marquez are both still in their system but are restricted, in the game they are listed as retired, Luis Hurtado (C) is on Las Vegas, but IRL he is in the Blue Jays system, (P) Persio Reyes is still in the system but IRL he is voluntarily retired, (P) Jhonaiker Rodriguez and (P) Randinson Suazo are still in the system, but IRL they are listed as released on MiLB.com

Hey I noticed the shift tendencies of managers are off based on the shift data from last year.

Here are the stats throught the first week of September 2014

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-bi...071443322.html

AL Shifts

Astros (Bo Porter) 1562

Rays (Joe Maddon) 1028
Yankees (Joe Girardi) 950
Blue Jays (J Gibbons) 946

Orioles (B Showalter) 825

Indians (Larry Dolan) 707
Royals (Ned Yost) 695
Rangers (R Washington) 686
White Sox (R Ventura) 683
Athletics (Bob Melvin) 646
Mariners (L McClendon) 633
Red Sox (John Farrell) 620

Twins (Ron Gardenhire) 533
Angels (Mike Scioscia) 507

Tigers (Brad Ausmus) 294

NL Shifts

Pirates (Clint Hurdle) 826

Brewers (Ron Roenicke) 634

Giants (Bruce Bochy) 494
Cubs (Rick Renteria) 462
Cardinals (M Matheny) 424

Braves (Fredi Gonzalez) 370
Diamondbacks (K Gibson) 352
Padres (Bud Black) 342
Reds (Bryan Price) 337
Phillies (R Sandberg) 321

Marlins (Mike Redmond) 309
Dodgers (Don Mattingly) 296
Mets (Terry Collins) 294

Nationals (M Williams) 258
Rockies (Walt Weiss) 248

Brad Ausmus used the shift the least in the American League (AL teams shift more often due to the DH rule) but has an "above average" tendency to use the shift in OOTP 16. Mike Scioscia used the shift 2nd least often in the AL but has a "very high frequency" to use the shift in OOTP 16. Many other manager's tendencies to use the shift seem off based on this data as well..

Fixed, except Marquez, Dunn and Hurtado.

Marquez is essentially done from what I understand, went back to football full time and retired in all but name.

As for Dunn, he hasn't played since 2010! Pretty sure the MiLB info is outdated

Hurtado, we just added to the Mets system. He hasn't played for Toronto in over a year, seems the Mets just picked him up.

If you look at the MLB Rosters in real Life today are still past 25 but in Game are at 2(5 and no Schedule Games intill Opening Day I don't mind that because League Structure is available but in real life Spring Training Games are stil happening.

For me or anybody in Game to see if the person was Drafted by a Team have to go to their History and Yes I have done Drafted by Teams in the past but it won't have 2014 stats/some of the recent Draft Picks and what also want in it Retired people but most don't have in History Drafted by Team. Same Homegrown 2014 Stats/Full Minor League Teams/Retired people and so on.

At what point do you think we'll have received the last patch with roster implications before Opening Day?

Did this get fixed? I am still seeing him being rated higher against LHP than RHP.

Thanks!

The Giants sent 11 players to the minors today.

Five were sent to AAA:

C Andrew Susac
RHP Hunter Strickland
OF Juan Perez
IF Adam Duvall
OF Gary Brown.

Six players were reassigned to "Minor League camp". (I'm not really sure what that means):

RHP Juan Gutierrez
RHP Brett Bochy
RHP Curtis Partch
LHP Steven Okert
C Guillermo Quiroz
IF Brandon Hicks.

I only see Hurtado listed as being a member of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats as per his MiLB.com player profile, which you are eight is probably outdated, however I see nowhere that the Mets have picked him up, he is on none of the rosters in their organization, nor is he on the non-roster invitee list

He is however listed on the roster for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, on MiLB's Fisher Cats roster page, which is usually pretty up to date.

Hmm, maybe haveband can weight in, since he's the one who moved Hurtado to Las Vegas.

Hurtado was signed by Toronto last week per BA transactions

Toronto Blue Jays
Signed: RHP Joel Espinal, C Luis Hurtado (did not play in 2013-14)
Optioned to Triple-A: RHP Preston Guilmet, RHP Ryan Tepera, RHP Matt West, C A.J. Jimenez, 1B Matt Hague

He was then assigned to LV a few days ago

Hey all,

No need to post this kind of stuff. We are daily scouring the websites and already generally have this stuff updated. While it is appreciated, do not waste your time on it. Now, if after a patch we miss it, then let us know as some things can slip by us.

thanks

Yep, no worries.

I actually deleted my post just before you replied since I figured it wasn't terribly helpful

A few random things:

Cam Bonifay should be a scout, not a manager.

Many GM's are still listed as preferring to be Managers.

When you do a staff search for "scouts," none of the currently-employed "scouting directors" show up. (SC vs SD in the Job column)

Jonathan Papelbon's option is vesting based on 55 GF, not a team option.

Phillies 2015 real rosters

Hi team,

Some issues with the current Phillies 2015 roster which doesn't seem rather up to date:

Odebul Herrera will be opening day CF (see MLB.com) -- currently you have him as a 'minor leaguer at AA'. However he is a rule 5 pick so he is on the roster.

Jonathan Pettibone is on the DL. In the game you have him on active opening day roster.

Phillippe Aumont -- unlikely to make opening day roster (has spring era of 5)

Where is Freddy Galvis?? In the game he is starting season at AAA. He is planned to be Phil's opening day SS, not Cesare Hernandez.

Dominic Brown is opening season on DL. IN the game you have him as starting outfielder.

Jordan Danks -- to me, he is overrated in the game at 4 stars. More like 1.5..but that's just my thoughts

Mario Hollands - starting season on DL. In Game you have him at AAA rotation.

Kevin Slowey. He was released. You have him at AAA.

Otherwise, looks good! Thanks all

As mentioned before, none of the rosters are up to date since OD is still about a week away.

Slowey was just released a day or so ago, so we definitely won't have that updated as well as the news regarding Brown which I think just launched today.

Once the next patch or update comes out, things will look a lot better. But if you're waiting to start a career, I would wait until we release something a few days after OD, when the minor league rosters will be set as well.
