I agree about STEAM...should be more like FIZZLE. They have HORRIBLE customer service (from my experiences). I refuse to use them.

Administrator: Is it possible to get a MAC install for the previous build so I can AT LEAST play the game? 1.6.17???? PLEASE

With every OS update Apple thinks it is cool to change stuff, so old programs don't work anymore. In our case, the eSellerate framework is not compatible with the newest OS. So it is not a matter of our version but the Mac OS you have installed. The only solution atm we can offer is a Steam key, as it makes eSellerate obsolete. Sorry, nothing more we can do at the moment.

It's been fixed before So hopefully it'll be fixed eventually. I'm in the same boat with my mac.

I just bought this game a few hours ago and I think it's fantastic. It's incredibly deep ... a lot deeper than I ever would have thought it would be. I do have what is probably a stupid question though. In future versions (or patches) have you considered having the option to turn a lot of this stuff on and off? Like if you didn't want to deal with scouts ... or even hiring them ... or stuff like that.
It's probably in there somewhere, but I haven't seen the possibility of hiring a head coach either that'll talk a lot of the duties off the manager.
One last one ... what about the possibility of more than one human controlled team? When I was a kid there was HLS that did that, and while it's doesn't even compare to this, it was a feature that friends and I liked and used a lot.

In a future version are you going to add an expansion option?

turkytom;
I don't know from your post if you know this or not - Under the Manager heading, the middle folder has manager options, then on the right side of the page IIRC is the options for you to do the work or to let the assistant handle it for you.

I really recommend taking a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the scouts and the assistant coaches.

Scouts - someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can have up to 16 scouts. Some of your scouts will be poor or average, but use good judgement before replacing them, some are cheap and if your just scouting non-hockey playing countries like "Rest of the World", you wont need a good or excellent scout for that - and average is usually cheap on the budget. I also usually do the scouting myself (finding out through trial and error...) with my scouts time frames being 16 weeks from mid-August through mid-December... I run scouting with NO reports until the end, that makes it a huge report to run through and slows down the game for that turn, but I often just delete the report and don't even look at the prospects until the second 16 week period from mid-January through mid-May. This allows me to do specific scouting with my best scouts for the 4 weeks leading up to the draft.

Asst Coaches - Since you are both the Head Coarch and GM in this version of the game... Your assistant coaches can contribute a TON of help to your players, but BEWARE, just because a coach has a great rating for defensemen, if he is poor at coaching (the top right side of that screen again) then he will not help improve your D-men at all or if he is poor at prospects then your youngsters will suffer and not improve quickly or at all... its really a crapshoot and I like it because it keeps me on my toes, checking why my team suddenly goes into a three game tailspin when all indicators are I should be dominating the opponent... just some advice - feel free to use it or ignore it... just trying to help.

As Dave already wrote: yes, it will be added. We just don't know how much will be available in version 2.

According to previous posts the patch (Whenever we get it) is supposed to have the option to add 2 Western Conference teams.

If testing continues like the last few weeks, the league or game mode makes no difference.

Pretty sure that depends on whether they can get researchers to take care of those leagues and get them into to a playable state.

Playable leagues always depend on finding researchers who are willing to do all the teams, player and rules. I don't think we have someone covering the leagues you asked about.

The Mac OS update didn't affect eSellerate for OOTP and 2 other program I use. So I suspect your implementation of it is faulty or doesn't strictly follow Aplle guidlines.

What does a researcher have to do exactly? I could do the USHL and if you want to add the MNJHL i have a team in the town over from me.

It did effect ootp and they had to release an update to have it run again. As I wrote above, we have this fixed as well but we are not able to release any updates because we thought it would be a good idea to promise a complete game engine re-write, which is way to complexe for an update. We learned the lesson and will never promise anything again but right now the situation is what it is.

We don't held anything back to make people angry, it just is not possible at this time. We offer everybody effected a steam key or, if that is not acceptable, we will work out something different.
