I hope JD continues to play as well. Baseball seems to always find that story of 'a guy' that ends up on a team where he clicks.

Maybe JD is just on the mother of all hitting streak I ask for every Christmas. Or he is a tad older. Or he has professional hitters around to watch, question, and learn how to become a professional hitter. I cannot imagine having Cabrera, Martinez, and Hunter as veteran teammates.

That was a great game to watch last night. I actually think I enjoy watching a guy pitch to contact more than a guy piling up the k's. Porcello is on fire right now. Happy for him.

Being up 9-2 is great but it is troubling to see Verlander continue to struggle. He won't get out of this many jams with so little damage most outings.

Having grown so accustom to 6 from the started, followed by the setup's setup, setup, then closer, I had forgotten the impressiveness of a complete game. One where the started has to face a batter 4 times rather than 2.

As you stated, Porcello is on fire.

I cannot remember any team that had a season like this. While I watched the ugliness, I never calculated nor thought of its length until reading a story today. Crazy.

I haven't seen much in the rumor department for deadline trades. Maybe the 'plan' is just to hope that Hanrahan is major league ready by then.

Joaquin Benoit has been a potential trade target. That's one rumor I've heard.

I was going to put the game on until I saw it was already 5-0 before the Tigers even come to bat... well I hope when I wake up tomorrow I'll see the box score to see the Tigers pull off a great come from behind victory!!!

They have gotten all five back and are still at it with the bases loaded in the second!

When the Tigers picked up JD I thought hmm another sixth outfielder that we will see now and then as injuries dictate.

After the HR-launch-athon he had in Toledo I thought hmm it is the son of Dave Kingman.

Whether it is the day to day playing, being around some great hitters to watch and learn, or just a change of scenery, whatever the reason I'm glad JD is a Tiger. Especially with Victor out.

Miggy showed why he has been the MVP. Man did he turn on the inside fastball. I have no idea how he pulls his hands through like that.
