Najera is sent to the floor for good as the fight ends at the 2:50 mark in the 8th round.

This is an intriguing fight for the fans as two highly-touted prospects square off against each other early in their careers. Jackson starts off quick but Czyz comes back to take the round, 17-8. It looks like Rampage has suffered a cut around the right eye here in the 1st. Jackson has Czyz hurt in the 2nd, 18-10. Normally, Rampage is the aggressor, but Czyz is coming straight ahead and is making it an inside fight. Rampage is doing the countering right now. The 4th is a back and forth round with Czyz doing a little bit more damage, 16-13, and reopening the cut around Jackson’s right eye. Czyz dominates the 6th, 30-7, and the doctor checks the cut. Rampage is allowed to continue but he is in a whole world of trouble. Czyz is not having trouble with Jackson’s defense and the cut is getting worse. Rampage lands a big hook, followed by a huge cross but Czyz counters and reopens the cut again. Referee Gibson steps in and stops the fight at the 1:55 mark of the 7th due to the severity of Jackson’s cuts. We will have to see if this hurts Jackson's prospects of being selected to participate for the USA contingent when the team is announced. And, will Muckboys Promotions and Rampage still be interested in entering a tough tournament, one where they could possibly see Czyz again?

Alexander Povetkin, Russia, 13-3-1 (10) vs. Scott Gammer, UK, 13-3-0 (4)

This is the second straight fight that Povetkin has fought in the U.K. against a hometown fighter. Povetkin starts off fast and lands some quality punches on the way to a 19-9, 1st round. Round 2 travels at a snail’s pace, 5-3, as both men hold each other for the majority of the round. The hardest shot that landed in the 3rd was the shoulder of Gammer to the face of Povetkin. Gammer was warned for his indiscretion. And suddenly a tune of “Ricky Wonderland” is overheard throughout the entire crowd as the IBO light-welterweight champion, Ricky Hatton joins us at ringside after his 4th round TKO of Jose Luis Castillo. Ricky is here to watch his fellow countryman, Scott Gammer this evening. Povetkin takes the 5th, 15-6, as he is landing body blows like our special guest did in his recent title defense. “Scotty is really having a tough time defending Povetkin’s bloody punches. The big Russian bloke is really landing and landing with accuracy and power, 19-4.” A very nice exchange in the 8th round, 11-9, as Gammer finally shows something to the audience and judges. Oh Ricky, did you see that?! Povetkin lands a thudding shot under Gammer’s ribcage reminiscent of the shot you landed against Castillo, and Gammer is down on the canvas in the 9th. But unlike your opponent, Castillo, Gammer is able to get up and survives the round without sustaining any more damage. The 11th is the best round of the fight as both men exchange punches. Gammer is way behind in this fight and looks like he is dead tired. He also seems to be shaking his hand after that round. Scotty is showing a lot of heart and courage as he takes his 2nd straight round, 17-10, even though he is fatigued and may have broken his hand in the last round. Gammer is seeing stars from a vicious cross and is floored again in the 13th. Once again, he is able to get up and continue after taking a beating, 25-3. Gammer goes down for the 3rd time in the fight here in the last round, but as usual, gets up and finishes the fight. The crowd’s spirit is a bit dampered, but only two words can be heard right now, and that is the loud cheering of “Ricky Hatton!” Thanks for joining us at ringside champ. I am beginning to create my own HW fighter files for certain countries because I am getting ready to expand the groupings in my db/uni when the tbcbIII version comes out. Any country that has at least 50 fighters will have a national title. This will also allow some of your promotional fighters an opportunity to have local titles before moving to the regional and world. So, right now, Mexico (Arreola, Morales, Chavez), UK (Calzaghe, Honeyghan) are ready once your fighter gets ranked after ten fights. Russia, Cuba and New Zealand will also have over 50 fighters very shortly for (Povetkin, Savon, Stankovich). The only fighter eligible to fight for a title as of this moment is Arreola (has over ten fights and Mexico has over 50 boxers).

The top 4 boxers in Mexico eligible to fight for title:
