What precisely does the Venue Rating mean?

If you go to the Venue listing there's a rating (1-5) for each arena. I don't really use it, but it figures into career modes/rpg type of play. I personally don't use it myself, but I throw it in whenever I post a venue for those who use TBCB in that manner.

The rating reflects how high a venue's profile happens to be and ties into career exposure etc. See page 38 of the 2.0 manual for more detail.

Mechanics Hall-Boston

Regular venue for boxing from 1919 to 1958. Johnny Wilson won the middleweight title from Mike O'Dowd there in 1920, and Harry Greb also fought some matches as well. In later years, the bigger bouts were held at Boston Gardens, but Mechanics Hall was a frequent venue for Paul Pender, Tony DeMarco, and Tom McNeeley before it was demolished in 1959. There was seating for about 1,000 spectators.

My father took me there back in the mid 50s to several fights. This brings back fond memories.
