But I love their stadium. Its beautiful. Although its in the heart of the city, from the stands all you see is grass covered hills.

If you ever get to Europe specially England go to a midweek game specially in winter and pray that it rains no joke you can not beat a midweek night game in the rain for atmosphere.

That does sound fun. Are the fans allowed to have a few beers in the stands?

Most of the people in Manchester support Man City a vast ammount of Man Utd fans are from outside Manchester that's why it's hard for Wigan Athletic to gain a big fanbase because most have been brought up to be Man Utd fans round the Wigan area.

I got that wrong!

The Angels were always the ugly stepchild of SoCal baseball..until 2002. I have a b it of an inferiority complex when it comes to the Dodgers. Everything about them and their Goebbels like ad campaigns screams arrogance. You'd think that baseball was invented here.

Are the fans in NW England more likely to be Liverpool or Man U fans? Is there any larger reasons why people chose to root for the teams that they do?

I purchased DC United 2007 season tickets early last week and they called me today and told me that since I had ordered early they were going to give me 6 tickets to home matches this season

Looks like I am going to have to work late and attend some games in the coming weeks.

After a series of lawsuits, ciggys are more than $3 a pack these days. I do think that some of the reaction to smokers is way overblown. A few people will jump in your face if you smoke.

Depends, I'd say fans in the North West are split into 3 groups, group 1 is your hardcore fan who supports his/her local team, group 2 is anyone up to and above the age of say 30 is more likely to support Liverpool as when they were kids Liverpool were the main team, group 3 are people up to about say 25 who support Man Utd because when they were growing up Man Utd were the team.

Although because Wigan are doing well there are more kids walking round in Wigan jerseys than used to be, but there are one or two Chelsea jerseys appearing round were I live the last few months.

lmao I quit because it got so expensive no idea how much say a pack of 20 is now but I'd say you wouldn't get much change out of $10.

You've been to both American and European games haven't you ? Is there a massive difference between each of them, been to loads of games in England and Europe but only watched the MLS on tv so I can't give a proper judgment on the difference.
