John Barnes, rookie DesMoines Toomer, Wil D'Zinnik & Bruce Wayne are among the favorites for AL MVP.
Jamie Tesh is the new favorite for AL JWA.

Alderaan has taken over in the NL East after Rocky Top has struggled and lead Atlanta by 1½ games.
Sony & Ford are about to wrap up their divisions.
To Kieren has a 5½ game lead over Corvair for the NL Wildcard.

Quinn Ransom is still the favorite for NL MVP & Tim Waters is still the favorite for NL JWA.

Lombard has a ½ game lead over Chicago.

Jose Gonzales is leading the Triple Crown.
Even though Antonio Escobar will miss the final 6 weeks, he will probably still win the LA POTY.

Normal has taken over in the Douglass Association.
Geneva has a 7½ game lead over Chicago.

Both MVP & POTY are wide open.

Yankees have a 6½ game lead.
White Sox have the Central wrapped up for the most part.
Mariners have a 2 game lead over Las Vegas.
Toronto, Boston, Anaheim, Detroit, Pittsburgh & Indy are all within 5 games of Oakland for the 2nd WC.

AL MVP is up for grabs. Doubtful Bernard will get it if Baltimore doesn't make the playoffs.
Satchel Paige is a shoo-in for CYA.

Marlins have some serious SP injury problem and have a 2 game lead over Philly, which has the same problem.
Cubs keep extending their lead over St Louis.
Rockies still have a big lead in the West.
Braves & D'Backs are tied for teh 2nd WC but Mets & Dodgers are only 1 game back and Philly has a slim lead for the 1st WC spot.

Joe Camel is the favorite for MVP.
CYA is wide open.

18-10 in August and tied with Gotham City. the Tigers are in a great position to win back-to-back division titles. The Batmen folded at the end of the season last yuear, mostly due to injuries. It'll be interesting to see if they fold when mostly healthy.

[The Game]

While August looked to be an easy month, September looks to be brutal. Only Highland & Atlantis are out of the race and under .500. The rest are either division leaders or in the hunt for a playoff spot including 7 games vs Gotham City. The Batmen are 8-5 vs Delgado this season.

The offense really opened up in August while the pitching, namely Versailles struggled.

Bespin lost the 1st game and were eliminated from the postseason. No one from New Chicago or Ackbar will be called up.

RP Earl Brown - a decent young RP with CL potential.

RP Pedro Cabrera - A 7 year MLB vet. On most teams he would have been a #4 or #5.

RP Iestyn Louch - IL POTM for August 2 yr CBF vet. Should get a chance somewhere in a rotation next season.

RP Norm Maclean - Solid #5 on most teams. Since his injury last season, he hasn't been the same.

RP Matt Nichols - Seems to be destined to bounce between ML & minors.

RP Screech Powers - crafty young LHP reminds some of Scott Radinsky.

C Cweon Markle - a power left handed catcher. He wont hit for AVG and should get a chance somewhere other then Delgado next season.

Rf Li Alport - a 4 yr vet with pop.

Rf Victor Cortez - a long time ML vet . Solid #4 OF.

RF Tim Smith - a good young OF who is a 5 tool player who can play all 3 OF spots. He will be the #4 next season.
