I am not looking forward to playing this fine Seattle team. We are not playing well and we need to be at our top shelf to compete with this fine team.😁

Gooo Bobs Burger. Get ride of the Night Watch. You have been the class of our Conference all season long so let it continue for one more series.😁

Always the same OLD story. Win the Division, Go to the playoffs and lose. What a waste of every Sunday. 🤒

All the hate for me here... Sorry guys, didn't know I was in your "restricted" league. Just picked random placement. And was busy this week, so not on the boards and didn't see this thread. Not that I would have restricted my team. GoT is all about taking every advantage to win. ![]() JK, I'd have at least considered it... What's the harm. But gotta go for it now. Bob's is a tough challenge, built to beat the normal Perfect Level pitching staff. Had to bring in a couple of reserves. We'll see... |

Wasn't your fault......there has to be a bad guy in every league so being good gave you the title this week! |

The only reason I'd have not done it would be the relegation risk. It's harder to get up now with the playoff crapshoot, and I wouldn't really like to see the best of my 3 teams miss too many top level seasons. I respect what you guys are doing with this league greatly, and have considered volunteering for it with one of my other teams. I was very time limited this week and didn't really even look at the other teams in the league or I'd have probably noticed. Just checked in and updated my lineups every evening (i.e. once a month), then played like I always do on Saturday where I'm too busy managing all 3 of my teams to focus on anything but the Info page of my upcoming opponents. 2002Halos... the "hate" was all in fun as you are likely aware and certainly not your fault. It's one of the risks of doing this. But you did make for a fun hater team for sure. Like the Yankees. Or the Patriots lately.
PS I'm still absolutely cheering against you. Go Bob!

The Freaks and Blue Gryphs had a sweet game 2. Van Mungo vs. Van Mungo and both were excellent. 2-0 win on a 2-run homer by my Trout, but in the bottom of the 9th Mookie hit a bomb to the track that would have tied it up. Great game all around.
I'm sure atabakin says it was less great than I do... gonna be tight this series either way. |

Yeah, I had a really slow start. I also play guys waaaaaay out of position every April for defensive training, and often regret that in close races at the end of the year. |

For now, I'll pass, only because I'm still enjoying the challenges I've set for myself with all three of my teams. But at some point, I do see myself contacting you guys to try this challenge. |

Thanks for being a good sport!
For a total jerk, you sure seem like a pretty fun and decent guy. ![]() I'd wish ya good luck, but you know... that whole hate thing... Hope to see ya back someday. |

You know, come to think of it, this might not have been entirely random...
I believe I chose "Stay Put". My last league was a very tough league with probably five or six rosters similar to mine. I managed best regular season record and won the playoffs (with help from some luck as all the best competition got knocked off by weaker teams). But I'll bet the difficulty of the league made me the only one who chose Stay Put and with 29 open spots, the algorithm slotted you guys in. If I'm right, you could see that sort of thing happen from time to time, where only the top team in a league chooses Stay Put. |

If I had taken the time this week to notice what kind of competition I was up against.... Most of the teams in this league are built around contact, because it's cheaper and less OVR than power. My pitching staff was built to stop power not contact, so naturally it suffered considerably in this league. Glad I finally noticed... Makes me feel a bit better about going from the top of the heap to barely making the post. |

Oof. Swept. Glad I was out running errands instead of waiting here at home for the results to trickle in. The winning run scored in extra innings on a base hit to center. I wonder if things would have been different had Fred Lynn not been lifted for a pinch runner (Lou Brock -- CS), shifting Mike Trout to CF. The drop from Lynn's 102 arm to Trout's 53 arm is substantial.
Ah, I would've lost anyway. |
