FYI, this happened to me also but in the 1983 draft.

I've got guys like "Tomba Barrasso" and "Dominowski Haslar" in the draft. Looks like the names somehow got all out of whack unfortunately.

Hi, I've come across some issues that are now preventing me from playing the game. I sank more than 50 hours into the game so far and this is the first time I've had any problems, but I've now had the same thing happen twice in the last 24 hours on two separate game files. I'm playing the game on Windows 10 through Steam.

Short version: My game keeps crashing when I try to sim past a certain date on two separate files (a different day and season in both cases).

More details:
Last night I was playing on my 'Canes file (currently in year 2022 I believe) when my friend came over, so I was showing him the game and we decided to start a new file where we would create ourselves and sim into the future to see how our careers turned out. For some reason, when we got to February 25th 2020, the game kept crashing out of nowhere when we would try to sim to the next day. Tried multiple times and it kept happening. I thought it was weird because I had already simmed past that point in my 'Canes file. Thought maybe it had something to do with a recent update or maybe because I had never taken control of a team to that point or something. But today when I went back to my 'Canes one, I simmed a few months and now the same thing keeps happening to that file (but on January 9th, 2022 or '23). I bought the game on release and made that file the same day and never had any problems with it so far playing it on and off the last few weeks.


Thank you in advance for any help, let me know if I can do anything such as uploading the aforementioned save files. I did see a post in this thread a few pages back that seemed to be detailing the same problem so maybe you're already aware. I really like this game so I'm really hoping we can figure out a way to get me back to managing my 'Canes team!

Small bug but as you can see a player scores his 26th goal then scores again a couple minutes later. It should be listed as his 27th goal but on the game summary it shows as his 26th goal of the season again.

Twice in a row I'm crashing in the preseason of my 6th season.

Also, please note that I'm receiving emails from my current team, and also my previous team...which includes hiring of staff for both teams.

Actually, the last goal is the 26th. This is a bug I also reported where the box score only shows the total goals/assists and not which ordinal goal/assist it was. It is his 25th & 26th goals of the season.

I also crashed on Sept. 6 on a newly created (2.2.9) game fictional league day before preseason match.

In a fictional league I have a problem with the Initial Draft. I had set up a major, minor, and junior league. Teams were set to allow 50 contracts (25 per major team and farm team).

When running the draft, I picked the first few picks manually. Then chose the CPU option to finish off the draft. When it was done, I found that the AI only finished the 25 picks for my club and stopped. All the AI teams filled out their 50 picks and populated their farm clubs. My farm team was left empty.

More initial draft issues:

I reviewed the player budget before the initial draft, and stayed within the limits remaining according to the Initial Draft screen and should have had a few $10Gs left. When I go to the Finances screen after the Initial Draft, I find that I am over budget by $9 million dollars. There is something seriously wrong with the budget calculations on the Initial Draft page. Even after half the picks get sent down to the minors and have a minor league salary, the player budget is still $9 million dollars over.

I deleted that game due to the initial draft issue I described above. If I see it again, I'll make sure to upload the save.

The reason it crashed may have been the empty farm team I described in the other bug.

I can't seem to replicate this, I did the same thing and my team continued drafting right to the end of the draft. What league setup did you start with, and did you have any manager options set to 'Assistant'?

My leagues will not load up each time there has been an update on Steam. Everytime it loads up it stops working and the end of the load time. I would like to upload it but I cant get through the instructions. If someone will tell me how to upload I will. I have windows 10

I believe it was 10 teams no divisions and about 52 games.

I do not believe I had anything set to assistant.

I did the first few picks myself.

I set up the league in Ukraine and had no region specified.

Also, what does protect player mean in the initial draft Action menu. None of the choices are explained in the manual.

Looking at my team's Salary obligations page and it looks like the one year salaries are not getting counted in the initial draft. In other words, it seems like it Initial Draft page is calculating next year's salary space, which may make sense for a June/Entry Draft, but doesn't work for a new league's initial draft.
