It sure would be nice not to have to win the 'play in game'. But I'd feel a lot better if the Yankees/Orioles/Rays would start loosing. -Everyone in the AL playoff hunt is winning & red hot.

Actually with the A's win today, the Rays have their backs against the wall. They need to win out (against the Orioles) and hope the A's get swept to even have a chance of a Game 163 on Thursday.

Well, the Rangers won the second game of the doubleheader. That means we are now 2 games back with three to play against them.
A's sweep, win AL West. Rangers win at least 1, they win AL West. The A's magic number for a postseason berth is now 1. |

If the A's sweep (and this is a big if), they will most likely have the best record in the AL. -They win the tie breakers against both the Orioles & the NYYs.

Will be out there tonight. Hoping Blackley brings his stuff and Harrison doesn't.
Go A's! |

I hope you have lots of fun and it's an A's win!
Blackley shaved. Reddick started hitting as soon as he shaved. So I think it is going to work. |

Wow. The Rangers' defense sucks.

MLB extra innings is the greatest thing to own. Congrats to you die hard A's fans. I've been watching them pretty closely this year and they have been the most fun team to watch. From the great pitching, personalities, timely hitting it was great to watch a team that just seemed to enjoy the game and pull for one another. In true A's fashion this year, they culminated this exciting run in first place all alone on the last day of the season.
Now if the Yanks could lose and Baltimore win tonight, setting up game 163, this would be yet another exciting finish to a season for the greatest game. |

Congrats to the A's. Awesome game and love it when the underdog wins.

Congrats A's! What a stretch run.
Texas - Baltimore is looking like the dreaded one-game playoff matchup. (I'll be rooting for the Birds)
