This Roster set would be more instersting if you had the other Active
Leagues in it like Chinese,Northern,Forntier and so on.

The DFA problem will always be in the game no matter what is done. The best way around it is to tell the computer not to sign anyone for the first 3 days.

Is there a function to deny waiver claims? Or must it be done manually?

FYI - I also have the available personnel crash.

You can go to game setup and then select league setup. Then select "Set all teams NOT to allow roster changes. Then sim 3 days and then enable the computer to allow roster changes. This will make it so the waivers and DFA don't affect anyone.

when i am generating reports. ON WINDOWS, at the 64% mark when its doing something bout coaches, it just freezes. then if i were to press ESC, it goes to 66% real fast then closes. Is there any ideas to why this happens? or does it usually take a LONG time to generate the report.

Maybe someone can help me. I've loaded your rosters (much thanks) and everything seems to work great. However, my OOTP crashes every season between Sept. 5 and Sept 10 and I can't go any further.

I am running the latest OOTP version on Vista and I can't figue out why it continues to crash. It does not happen with the unmodified game. Is this a problem that anyone else has experienced? Any fixes?

Thanks for any help.

Try the updated file first, there was a lot of glitches with the old one and it may have been causing it to freeze even if you hadn't gone to the coaches page.

Cubby, I just installed the new files and ran a test season to see if the crashing problem still existed. This season crashed on Sept. 7th. When I load it up and try again, the same thing happens. Any idea why?

No. I haven't been able to reproduce that happening. Does it actually crash to desktop or give you an in-game error?

Also I just noticed the ammy draft is set to only create for 10 rounds -- I would recommend creating and running a 40 round ammy draft the first year.

It comes up with the error message, "OOTP Baseball 9 has stopped working" and exits to the desktop.

I'm trying to install OOTP 9 on my XP computer to see if it's a problem with my Vista. Interestingly, it doesn't happen with the normal game, so I wonder what it could be.

I am having the same issue, with mine though. Once I generate a report for my online league, once it starts generating the teams and players, it freezes when its at 64% and it says MLB History. I am really stuck and frustrated on what to do, I did it with the updated file as well. Any thoughts Cubby? Please

Try replacing all of the files in the news/html folder with those from an older version of my set. Thinking they might be corrupted. That's happened to me with OOTP before. I'll check it out.

just delete the ones in the newer file of HTML/news. and just paste like the html news from ur first set u released?

Hey, Cubby, I was just wondering why you have Braves prospect Tommy Hanson rated so low? Everybody has him projected as a top ten prospect in MLB and with your ratings he doesn't even make the top 100 for 2009....

I'm a big fan of him, but I'm not sure everyone has him in the top ten for MLB. Either way, getting the Top 100 to show right is a crapshoot, and it doesn't reflect what their true ratings and potential are. I have no idea why it has never worked correctly in OOTP, but it doesn't. He has pretty great ratings in the game, so I'm not sure what you're looking at there. After one year in a test sim, he was the ace on Atlanta with a mid 3s ERA.

Worked great for me now. I just test simmed a season, and had no problems anymore. Ryan Braun had a pretty huge season, .354 AVG, 57 HR, and 158 RBI for the triple crown. Rich Harden won the Cy Young with some impressive stats, 2.00 ERA, 253Ks, 19-3. The Yankees won the World Series, after losing the division by 8 games, coming back from 2-0, 3-0 in the LCS, and 3-0 against the Dodgers.

Great set. I don't know if you plan further updates but here are a couple notes regarding the Reds organization. Please don't take this as a knock on the set, just trying to help out.

Cut Jon Adkins & Steve Torrealba
rename Curtis Patch to Curtis Partch
Ben Davis & Jerry Gil are pitchers now
Justin Walker is also a pitcher
missing Alex Gonzalez
missing Drew T. Anderson
missing Ruben Medina
missing Brian Peterson
sign Korey Feiner from free agency (yes they have both the Feiner brothers now)
missing several other players but those are the ones who played at least AA or above last year.
