I am guessing by SDPM100s unwillingness to get into a smack off that he is conceding defeat.

This comes from the Barrow fans forum, and it doesn't inspire much confidence for the rest of this season.

From 'Cokey':
Poor performance from us. The team looked like they hardly knew eachother. Could barely string a few passes together. Too much long ball. Too many good place set pieces wasted. When we had a couple of one on one chances, our forwards wasted them. I'm not happy with Speare either, he's done nothing to impress me so far and his kicking is very questionable. The defence looked okay when they weren't hoofing it up the pitch and losing us possesion. Midfield was dominated by Worcester, most tackles or headers was won by them. We don't look good up front at all, no real spark or threat yet. Stop the long ball game and get playing football. Don't want to sound too negative but don't want to mask the truth either. Must improve greatly or we will be looking at mid-table mediocrity once again. I'm looking for improvement at Blyth and Hucknall. If we continue to play like this, we'll lose the crowds (just under 1,000 there today) and have to endure another aimless season. Bring on the positives someone because I can't think of any.

See the next post - even Leigh could well beat Barrow this season.

Isnt that to be expected with a new coach? I actually see things to be encouraged about in that post.

Too many good place set pieces

we had a couple of one on one chances

The defence looked okay

At least its something to build on.

It'll be a loan for this year, but it will be a full time move beginning next season.

UKHS..why does the FA limit the number of subs chosen to 5? Isnt 7 the usual number everywhere else?

The 5 subs named rule kills me in FM because it makes it hard to carry a second GK. My two wingers always get exhausted. Same with my AMC. I need to carry an ATT, DEF, amd 3 MF subs...FA..please go to 7 subs named!!

Perrotta also just picked one up.

The Spanish announcers are calling him Per'roja'. A pun on his name as roja is red in Spanish.

I know that this makes me a world class snob but I have never gotten into the MLS. And, after Landon Donovans horrific performance at the years WC, I'm even less onclined to watch. Of the games I have seen, the action seems to be fast paced and what is lacking in technique is made up for by effort.

We get the highlights over here and try as I may I just can't get into it, personally I think it's because of the feel of the games and the atmosphere it just isn't the same as football here.
