Some like it this way because they get 3 games every week instead of two..although the NFL Pass makes it irrelevant.

Also when its -25 in the North its 70 and warm..so people have more entertainment options here.

Yeah, you can ski, snowmobile, and ice fish, all of which takes a special breed. Which not everyone here is.

You can ski about an hour away from here at Big Bear...then surf in the afternoon..

If envorimentalists are against snowmobiles they should be against hikers too; it would take 4 snowmobiles stacked on top of each other to match the damage a hiker does to grass underneath snow (due to weight displacement).
