No. Check him in the retired players list (almanac/HOF/View all retired players). If it's blank, pm potatoman. It's his ancestor.

well barring Brooklyn putting in another all field/no-hit scrub, i'm looking at an all infield GG for the Reds this year. And possibly catcher too with Rauch possibly going downhill.

Just browsing through the leagues prospects, and ran across Lukas Dietrich. His talents were real good when he was drafted, but they sure spat out an odd stat-line:
Code:
Year	G	GS	W	L	SV	ERA	IP	HA	R	ER	BB	K	CG	SHO
1952, A	23	23	5	13	0	2.70	183.0	134	63	55	91	129	13	0
Really good ERA of 2.70, pretty good WHIP of 1.23, not an insane amount of unearned runs. How the heck do you go 5-13 with that statline? Seems like he should get a boost to AA in 1953, if not already there. Just rang odd. The Senators must have the worst batting in A-ball.

He got ratings boosts right as August was ending and I moved him to AA in late August but he never got a start there.
He might start 1953 there or move up to AAA.
I am leaning towards letting him have a month of two of AA ball to see how he does.
If he improves over spring training in control or movement then he will be in AAA and has a shot at getting some relief work by the end of the summer.

I wonder, is this the first time both BOYs had batting averages below .300. Just thought that was interesting.

I don't think anyone has yet acknowledged the retirement of Denny Caneer.

Greates minor league power hitter of all time, with well over 300 HR. I can't see the exact number, since his player page no longer exists. But multiple seasons of over 60 HR counts for something.

Sideshow, you shall be missed. Now The Commander can nickel and dime his way to your record.

....and surpass him. Everyone knows "Sideshow" should have been called "Freak Show". It was widely rumored that he regularly injected himself with horse hormones. Something has to account for his freakishly long skull, his well-known fondness for oats, and a disturbing tendency to whinny.

3 more Allens have announced their intention to follow in family footsteps and join major league baseball, these 3 being the infamous Florida Everglades triplets of Goldschlager "Cinnamon" Allen, Rumplemintz "Shot Glass" Allen and Jagermeister "Germany" Allen.

It is beleived they were born in February of 1935. They were orphans as the man who raised them, known only as Big Ed, found them in February 1935 in a small skiff while he was hunting alligators in the Everglades. They had never left the swamp before taking Big Ed to the hospital following his arm getting bitten off by a gator when they were 17. There they met some unkown person who introduced them to the game and they look like naturals.

All 3 are 5'6" tall and weigh 200 pounds. All intend to be pitchers as their lack of exposure to the game has affected their ability to learn how to hit.

Cinnamon has excellent movement on his pitches with a nasty curve and even nastier knuckleball. Shot Glass has a cannon of an arm with great stuff while Germany who can't throw a ball more than 85 mph has control so good he can knock a mosquito off a hitters arm without hitting the player.

It will be interesting to see what this inexperienced (both in baseball and the modern world) trio can do.

Haha, the Allen family is like a constant stream of Dizzy Deans. Are they triplets or something? Matt, you should use the same pic for all three of these guys. Short and fat.
