I did not mean to imply that Markus intentionally misled anyone. For this admittedly-theoretical position, all I'm saying is that if it happened once, I can understand the fear that it might happen again. To me, the timetable of the game's release is immaterial.

It's not that I care too much about H2H I'm looking forward to trying it ot but it's not one of my central reasons for buying the game and in a purely selfish way I would like the game to come out sooner *but*

-Game reviewers will be reviewing the game based on the first version that's released for the most part I would think. If the game is missing a major feature the reviews will be potentially not as good causing less people to buy the game. So I can understand Markus wanting to make sure the first release is as good as it can possibly be.
-There are opund to be a plethora of bugs in the initial realease trying to work out the bugs at the same time as adding a major feature will be at the very least stressful for Markus.
-Many of us have been waiting over a year for this game, I don't think another week is going to kill anyone.

Am I missing something here? He said we could have the game now or later. I would like it now. H2h will not be in it now and then we have to wait for whole game until it is? Well I say give us the game now to test and H2H later. I mean to me it is a no brainer. Either we get the game now or later. I would like to have mine now please.........................................Z

since the release of this game is already well past opening day, what was the point of posting a thread 3 days ago about speeding up the release ????

me thinks that it was a distraction......

pretty low class to pre sell the game and then not release it.

If you will look at bit more closely you'll see that NO SPECFIC release date has been set this year. There is NO attempt at distraction, deception, etc......

Take a few minutes and read some of the threads and you'll see this.

While you're awake Steve.. Care to tell us how far H2H is along? Just two days ago it was 50%. Any chance of letting us know how well it is doing now?

read them all. i understand that no specific date was given. However, no specific date is ever given for awarding the stanley cup or world series either, but neither league implies that the trophy will be rewarded and then doesn't follow through. All people want is an estimate when it will be released. saying "OOTP6 will be released when it has been fully tested and found to be ready" doesn't cut it.

A set release date wouldn't be so bad. I'd love to know when it'll be out. But hey, it's cool. I can be patient.

Ya, Steve's signature frustrates me too, but in all fairness, there IS an estimate out, given by Markus, of April 15th. Depending on if Markus ignores H2H until later, it could be out as early as the 8th. I wouldn't really expect it any sooner than that though, although it would be a nice surprise.

i can be patient too. imagine how cool it would be if OOTP6 was released in March 2005 and then OOTP7 was released in April 2005?

Maybe Markus and Steve have an agreement with Budweiser or Fedex or something that sends us subliminal messages telling us to buy their products ever time we log onto the forum...

I remember way back when v3 came out and I was on the boards compaining that the enhanced news stories that had been promised for that version were not included, so I can understand people wanted to make their voice heard for some reason or another. However, in my posts back then I had a clear and concise point. This post, however, makes no sense....

I'd like to see everybody just shut up and wait till its released, we're all anxious to get the game. This board has sucked for the last couple weeks , Its ridiculous to come on here and see every other post of "when is it out, when is it out" I preordered over a week ago and I have no problem waiting for it. Opening Day isn't even here yet, Opening day is Monday(not Japan, and not sunday night baseball) so relax we haven't even passed opening day which was a suggested possible release day and already people have been losing their ___ minds, give it a rest!

Perhaps you need to read the part of the post that you quoted in your reply... the part that says

"there IS an estimate out, given by Markus, of April 15th" (courtesy of crackpott)

That is not an estimate by crackpott...

I understand I'm a newbie... 2nd post and all. This will also be my first version of OOTP, and I would like it as stable as possible at release. If that means H2H would be better off being included in the release, that's cool.

Happy coding Markus.

My guess is Steve's sig is the result of him only knowing slightly more than us as to when it will be released.

Okay, you're new here, so I will play nice. Your post made no sense because your analogy made no sense. Your comparison with the Stanley Cup or World Series trophy makes no sense. Nobody has failed to deliver anything in this game YET! Start posting your BS about "not following through" when we reach that point. Until then, just keep it down in the backseat and let the grownups talk.

By the way, you might want to learn a little respect. I didn't personally attack you in my first reply. I stated that your post didn't make sense. I didn't call you stupid, I didn't treat you like a three year old. But your response showed that perhaps I should have. This is a place for adult conversations and not childish comebacks.
