I'm also using Open Office Calc, and what may have happened is previous tinkerings may have been saved in my fettered, modified Gambo-Spritze. Once saved the dreaded " rear their ugly heads around any text, and even if one uses Find/Replace to rid the scourge of " the damage has already been done. Oh well, I'll dig out of it and post any other players with commas between words that are meant to take up only one cell for the sake of my fellow tinkerers (assuming there are any). Thanks for the correction. Good to know what part of my tinkering led me astray. |

Next 20 players with commas that won't bother you if you play with Gambo-Spritze straight up, but will bother you if you make alterations to the Master.csv using a spreadsheet: Mike McClendon, James McDonald, Evan Meek, Vinegar Bend Mizell (comma in birthCity column), Logan Morrison, A J Murray, Chris Perez, Chad Reineke, Dusty Ryan, Gaby Sanchez, Humberto Sanchez, Omir Santos, Ossee Schreckengost (comma in nameNote column), Frank Sellman (nameNote column), Kanekoa Texeira, Josh Tomlin, Jose Uribe (nameNote column), Danny Valencia, Jonathan Van Every, and Jonny Venters.

Final four "College Comma" players: Jordan Walden, Jared Wells, Bobby Wilson, and Lance Zawadzki. Thanks again Gambo and Spritze for making OOTP even more awesome for us historical players.

Alla them commas in de whole Spritze db were removed while ago. Had some in cities and such as well. DB is commaless now and has been for a while. Don't know if Gambo changed them in his version. I simply used find and replace and replaced them with a {space}.

The Gambo-Spritze was the one I was speaking of, but I found the 64 critters and am happy to say that order has been restored to my copy of it.

Since there don't appear to be read-me files for the various v12 Spritze & Gambo/Spritze db's on Padrefans' mods site, I was wondering if some of the posts (in this long thread) that apply to v11 (or earlier) db's might apply. Something that essentially provides the info like what was in previous versions' read-me files... Thanks

Spritze - a few questions...
1. To which database(s) does the above readme file apply? 2. Is the Gambo / Spritze DB w/Transactions for OOTP 12 a "original team" db or a "most associated with" one? 3. From the readme: "The PCL database players have been added as well." Are these only the non-MLB PCLers? Do the PCLers import as free agents or are they set up to import to a PCL team, if one exists? 4. From the readme: "Seamheads Cuban and Negro Players are in process as are the 1889-1900 18th Century Players." In process meaning not included in this db but will be soon? Or am I misinterpreting? 5. There was a Spritze / Garlon db for previous versions of OOTP where 50 Negro League stars were added, other Negro/Major Leaguers had their stats backwardly-extended, insignificant WWII replacement & Federal League players were deleted, etc., etc. Does this database exist in any form that will work with OOTP v12? Thanks in advance |

Gambo's db's use the Spritze db as a base and then he removes a lot of players and portions of their careers. I prefer to leave them in because I'd rather have my minor leagues made up of real players rather than fill them up with fictional fellas. Simply personal preference.

How are PCL players indicated in the high school db? A somewhat-less-than-semi-thorough spot-check reveals the following types of players in the csv files: 1) players who will import to MLB teams, and 2) “IND” players who appear to be either Negro Leaguers, Asians, pre-1900 leaguers, and Federal Leaguers.
I’m probably missing something obvious or misinterpreting something… Thanks in advance. |

They will be in the NEXT version. The indicator light is college = pcl player
I am also planning on adding a few cephalopods if I have the time. It appears there are NONE in the current databases.

PCL-ers in the next db. Got it. Thanks Spritze...
(Cepahalopods. That would be interesting.) Re: Quote:
Oh, and speaking of that answer, just what db are you using that imports all of those cats you refer to, including PCLers? One that has not yet been made available? |

The Spritze High School db includes everybody (cats included) at age 18 (unless they debuted earlier IRL, then they come in then). The next version will include the PCL. It will be available when OOTP13 comes out.

Sorry if this is a stupid question
![]() I've never used any db other than what came with OOTP ... ... but: Do I have to start a new league for this to work or can I simply copy your OOTP12 db in the game folder ??

Spritze, if I wanted to use one of the modded db's, but wanted to exclude one group or another (for example, Japanese pros or minor leaguers), could I simply delete those from the master.csv file, and not worry about any data that still exists in batting, pitching, fielding, etc., files for those deleted records? Or would add'l file editing be required?

You do not need to start with the modded db BUT as Player Debut Years will be different you will miss a few players and even possibly double some up if you don't.

But I have another question: Where exactly do I put the downloaded file ???? If my memory serves me right (I'm at work right now so I can't check it), my database folder includes just the world.xml (something I didn't find when I unzipped the downloaded file) ...
