I just did him myself yesterday, I was pretty close. Same rating. Can you do Jackie Darthard?

Is there any way we can get ratings for Hector Camacho at Lightweight & Jr. Welterweight?

Thanks,

I've been searching the forum and rating anyone from the Ring rankings of December every year that I can't find. Martin Quintero seemed like a really good fighter that isn't in the data base.

Thanks for the update of Renan St. Juste @ SMW & Avtandil Khurtsidze now being a 6 @ MW.

Any chance of Broner getting a LW rating & Rios @ 140?

Thanks!

Great! 5 versions of Camacho and a new Mancini & Haugen to boot.

Thanks,
Bill

I'll most likely be forced to complete a JMW version as well. He held a SMW title, but it was so minor his MW rating can be used to compete in that weight class if someone desires.

Very nice ratings of Camacho, IceTea. To be honest, I have been using John Dewey's Camacho at the higher weights for years, awaiting an offical database update. I personally never watched Camacho at JLW. He was a 135/140 pounder (and up) in my early days of following boxing.

I started to 'know' Camacho right around the Howard Davis fight. The Mancini fight was epic in my life. My dad actually broke down and bought that fight on our enormous satellite dish at the time. To call my dad cheap is an understatment but he loved the potential of watching Camacho get beat up and he taught me everything I know.

Then there was the Pazienza fight. Remember Macho throwing a maxi pad at Paz during a press conference to stop the bleeding during the beating? Then the Haugen feud, which included boxing's premiere badboys of the time, a refusal of touching gloves in the last round, a point deduction/score changing event, marijuana use, a mandated immediate rematch, etc.

I was never a big fan, but Camacho was a huge mainstay and highly involved in my early boxing days. So thanks, not only for the Camacho ratings, but for his key opponent's ratings, and allowing me to reflect.

These are great, IceTea, thank you! You must be reading my mind. And as we discussed before, I was growing up watching all of this in beautiful Chittenango, NY, home of the Oz Parade and only a short distance from New Hartford!

Interestingly enough, Vinny Paz was just as prominent as Macho during the same era. The 3 fights w/ Haugen at 135-154 (ish), the Macho feud, the Mayweather and Garza wipe-outs, the broken neck, the return @ 154 as a boxer/mover/puncher under Kevin Rooney, the Roberto Duran and Jones Jr fights @ 168(!), and the spoiler fights for Dana Rosenblatt @ 168 as well. I am in my glory with these offical database updates, thanks again!

I go through there weekly. I shop at a Wegman's in just outside of Syracuse and drive through Chittenango on my way back for a stop at the IBHOF.

I don't know if they still do it, but they used to invite the midgets back to an OZ fest every year.
