That's a good point. If Jesus or Allah were making rosters they'd get alot more respect. I guess we'll have to settle for Rolen & Cubbyfan!

In all seriousness, I hope you guys aren't letting a couple of petulant kids get to you. This isn't a job, it's a hobby and you've got no obligation to us. Keep it fun and we'll enjoy the result when you're ready.

I get this treatment at work and work is hell. This sounds like hell and people are pushing it. For those pointing fingers why don't you go and make your own rosters and mod's instead of insulting others. You slack F***G B****S.

It's cubby's thread and shall I say he is the wizard or OZ in this thread. Why don' you guy's be more positive than neggative. Instead of coming out with negative words to cubby why not come out with positive words instead and encourage the efforts of a human being working on a mod pack for the whole world.

I bet if cubby was Jesus or Alah you wouldn't be talking to him in this way would you. I bet you would be on your knees praying and kissing feet yeah. If you can't be nice to Cubby or if you can't be nice to anyone, expect the karmic wheel to treat you the same way you treat others. I feel sorry for you negative people.

GO CUBBY - THANKS CUBBY. Thanks for saving thousands of people hard work doing these rosters themselves which they forget. I bet you feel like jesus trying to help everyone and trying to free them, then being put on a cross in your own thread. I guess history does not mean much to people. What a perfect e.g..

CTCWH.
Ya know I was just gonna stay away from this, but I can't help myself. My problems with Cubbyfan have nothing to do with the work he's done or hasn't done. it comes strictly from his attitude towards me when I said I was going to create a roster of my own. and as far as these rosters go, well after conversing on AIM today, I have nothing but respect for Erich and the work he's put into creating these rosters. I've never used his rosters before since I was a late comer to OOTP but his set for OOTP3 is still being talked about. so obviously it was and is amazing. so again, my anger was misdirected early on, and then became directed at Cubby only because of his attitude. and a huge thumbs up to Erich because I am sure he will set the bar incredibly high for me to strive to equal. which will only make me work harder. This is no longer an angry roster vs roster fight. this is just me doing something I want to do for myself and in turn for the OOTP community. If someone enjoy's it? then great. and if not, well I will and I'm sure you'll all still love my pic pack!!! So again Erich thanks for taking the time to create 3000+ players and setting the bar high for me to strive to compare too

That's too bad, because I was really looking forward to that ozzie. It would have been like RAW vs. Smackdown only with baseball players instead of wrestlers.

I've managed to empty two bottles of wine tonight already but I guess that's not the same eh?

It seems I have an admirer, for all my arrogance and attempts to thwart internet stardom, I can't keep ozzie from this thread.

That's just turning wine into urine and any mere mortal can do that. However, you get those roster sets finished sometime real soon and we might consider you for sainthood.

If this is your greatest fear, then cheers to you.

It's stuff like this that makes me certain I don't miss doing this a bit.

The comedy in this thread is starting to close in on transcedent comedy, as we are well beyond high comedy now.

"My first ever game was at Busch Stadium, Cubs / Cards with Ryne Sandberg at 2B for the Cubs. Dad told me he was Ryno which I loved, he made a few unreal plays that game, for some reason it stuck with me (I was 4) and I've been a Cubs fan ever since and he was my fav player ever.."

Gah, this makes me feel really old My first game I saw Pete Rose, and Johnny Bench.....

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-...d=197607030CN5

It stuck with me forever, and they will forver be a couple of my all time favorites.

On a note more in line with the thread. I'm axiously awaiting your rosters, but I have all the patience in the world on waiting for em. Till then I am doing historical sims, and having a blast in the process.

2 bottles of wine huh? I hope we won't be seeing Mike Piazza with a cannon and kerry Wood and Mark Prior with good durability. ...Then again, I'm not sure 2 bottles is enough.

Thanks for all the hard work guys; it might even excuse cubbyfan for being a Cubs fan, maybe.

Jim Edmonds is that big SP prospect for St. Louis right?

My first game - july 4th, 1991 - Wrigley. , Sutcliffe pitching...Grace, Sandberg, Dawson, the whole mid-to-late 80's Cubbie gang. Pirates...Bonds, Bonilla, VanSlyke, etc. Cubs have a 3 run lead in the 9th...but Cubs closer Dave Smith blows it when Bonds hits a 3-run bomb, followed by a solo by Bonilla. Grace ties it in the 9th with a home-run. Anyway, it heads into the 11th when Bonilla jacks one. Grace comes back in the bottom of the inning and hits a 2-run walk-off HR to win it. Only time I've ever known Gracie to hit 2 in a game (although I'm sure it had to happen some other time). Also got to see Sandberg, Dawson, and George Bell (anyone remember him) go yard for Cubs. 5 homeruns for the Cubs and Pirates had 4 that day. Very exciting!!!

You're probably not going to believe this, but I'm 99 percent sure I was at that same game.

Then you're both imagining it Sutcliffe didn't pitch that day. Maddux started. Bonilla didn't homer. And Sandberg didn't even play. Grace did, however, win it with a homer in the 11th.

Retrosheet is fun.

I found dashby's post about finding soemone else to be high comedy as well, Erich. Honestly, he wants to find someone to devote their entire life to a roster set. Sorry, you won't find anyone like that man.

Get off their back. I know how hard it is to make rosters (for Baseball Mogul, which is way easier than the OOTP interface I bet), and I know I put a lot of tme in it. I'm younger than both Erich and Cubby, so therefore, I pretty much put all my time except school and once a week with my girlfriend into the rosters, and it stll took me 2-3 months to release. It's not something you can throw together in a minute.

It took me 2-3 months with Mogul, and thats only with players wtih MLB experience and the top 20 or so prosepcts for each team. These guys are making full minor leagues, full major leagues, full personnel, easily editting way over thousands of players by hand from the ground up - get off their god damn backs and give them a break. I wish there was a way to ban people like you from downloading their rosters when they are released - just so you can't see how good they actually are. However, if you do see them, maybe then you'll be thanking them for putting so much hard work into them.

Cubby and Erich, coming from a fellow roster maker, thank you for your hard work for OOTP. I'm personally waiting for your rosters to come out to start playing it, but unlike the low-life complainers, I'm spending me time actually occupying myself with my other hobbies and games, rather than coming on here to badger and harass you.

Show me the box score. It was 15 years ago but, I can't believe I would slip up that much. Oh well, Sutcliffe...Maddux...whatever. Point is the Cubs won...Grace hit a couple homers...and the Pirates went on to finish about 20 games ahead of the Cubbies and won the division.

Hey, by the way, thanks for stealing my childhood memories and pissin all over them though.
