That is what I was hearing on ESPN radio. A Rabe for Soriano straight up would be glorious but that is not the deal. I agree that giving up 3-4 prospects would be a shady move for the Twins.

I'm still surprised that Rabe is a singled out guy in this trade. It just doesn't make sense, to me. If it was Rabe, Slowey and some other minor prospect for Soriano; I think the Twins would be stupid not to take this trade. However, if they can get Lee for less than what they'll give up for Soriano; I think that is a better trade.

I've heard Milwaulkee won't part with Lee now because they are actually in contention for a playoff spot and need him there to get into the playoffs.

Twins just extended Redmond through 2008 with a team option for 2009. Good move. Solid catcher and apparently great in the clubhouse. Naked batting practice and all.

Nice move. He is a good option if Mauer were to go down for an extended period.

Maddux would get LIT UP in the AL. It would be painful.

Couldn't possibly be worse then Lohse though.

Oh yes it would. With the DH and Maddux not knowing the hitters as well, it'd be a disaster.

Lohse hasn't been that bad lately. Maddux would still be an upgrade, but it's possible to get more than that for him.

Ummmmm...you serious?

We have three pitchers: Santana, Liriano and Radke. That's it.

I'd say we need a 4th and 5th starter, but we have a rock solid 'pen.

Never said we need any relief help. And in case you were wondering, I was joking about Maddux, kinda .

I was responding to the "we have 3 pitchers, thats it." I didn't realize you just meant starters.
