Why is Chavez out? He's not hurt, is he?
Did Macha really take out the best player on the team when it's a 5-run lead and he's due up 3rd in the inning? Is he seriously RESTING Chavez 10 days into the season? I'm so close to advocating random acts of violence against this dope. Edit: I had Chavez in Beat the Streak today. This upsets me greatly. He could've used one more at bat! On a somewhat high note, my co-worker just walked by and saw my ESPN The Magazine with Huston Street on the cover and said, "Ooooh, that guy's cute!"

Why is Nick Punto sliding into first and then arguing when his team is up by six runs in the bottom of the 8th?

non-dola,
He was actually safe, but still. Sliding into first is dumb to begin with. |

Well, that's the ballgame, with Minnesota's own Dan Johnson striking out to end it and he's still hitless. Congrats on climbing up to 4-5. A's are now close to the same at 5-5. |

1. It was supposed to rain out at least one game the first series of the season, so a doubleheader would have meant an extra SP was needed. 2. Kielty had an option left and he wasn't 100% from his oblique strain.

Of course, this loss is not his fault. A's just got beat today. I hope the weekend is a little nicer to the boys. |

Sorry that your team got swept, Kelly (there should be a greeting card for that). You deserve a better manager.
