How about enhancing the news system a little bit? Not only awards and injuries and indivindual perforamnces but important wins, sweeps etc.

Markus, Glad to hear about BABIP being included. Also, how about displaying the homeruns allowed for the minors league stats? |

Can trade news be added? Just the blockbuster or even the busts trade.

Can the potential free agents list show talents or stats too instead of just the abilities? Many users have the ability ratings off, so we pretty much just see zeroes now.

A suspension file much like the injury file that we could edit or disable?
That way, suspensions would be worded as injuries. Possibly progressive so that with each offense a player's suspension would increase? |

How about a clear rookies records button? When I start up a new league, I clear out all the rookie records from the record book after the first season because everyone is considered a rookie. It would be nice to just click a button. Right now I do it manually and it takes a little time. Not a big deal, but it should be easy to do since you already have a clear all records button.

How about AI trade vetos? Maybe it could be made an option that if turned on would pop up a message box saying something like "These two AI teams intend to make the following trade. Do you accept?"
This would be great for playing in "commisioner mode" and preventing the AI from making those not so smart or useless moves that it tends to do once in a while.

Hi Markus... glad you asked!
I was hoping you could do something that Yankee227 and I posted about recently involving the "Import real rookies?" question. Right now with OOTP6, I believe it stops asking that question once you reach 2003. For those of us involved in our own "alternate universe" dynasties, it would be really nice if the game just asked this question regardless of the year - maybe with an option to turn it off completely for those you play fictional. Otherwise, once we hit 2003, we get stuck manually locating each "rookie" in the database with a debut date in 2003 and importing each one by id - a real pain. Anyway, I'm hoping this won't be too hard to code and can make its way in. Here are the other threads requesting this: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=99314 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=99099 Thanks so much! |

List double plays and left on base in the boxscores.
Include runs scored, stolen bases and hbp columns in League Leaders (Combined League Leaders Batting Average screen)...so they would all be on one screen with all of the other offensive categories. |

I would like to see this added. When you are looking to trade a player instead of going to the trade player screen you can hit a button from your team page that would list players that are currently available for the position you are looking for, In other words I need a third baseman and when I go to my team page I hit a button the lists all the third baseman that are availabe then I can enter in the player and ask that team if they will accept my offer. Guess I am a little lazy. or a button from your team page that would allow you to see all the free agents and waiver aire player that fit what you are looking for

Hi Markus!
I'm glad to read from you! Just a "slight" thing to add. I looked at the Yankees vs Red sox games this weekend and I was just wondering if a rivalry between two teams would be too hard to code? Not something too fancy... (I know this can be really deep in consequences (high emotivity, players giving 150%, a lot of HBP, etc...)). I was thinking about a rivalry that would make the fans go wild for the series between the division rivals or the team that eliminate your team in the playoff 3 years in a row... Just an idea like this... Maybe if we could select the rivalry... I really don't know, just throwing this here! Maybe for version 7!! Good job on 6.5 by the way! I can't wait to have it! Thank you for your time! Last edited by Electrovik; 05-31-2005 at 10:33 AM. |

Markus, I'd like to see computer run teams keep more players in the minors. Often, the AI teams don't even keep a full batting order of players at each level. I'm sure this is in part because players advance through the system as the season goes on but is there a way to make the AI teams keep each level (A, AA, AAA) well stocked?

is a 'transaction frequency' toggle, a la the 'trade frequency' toggle, at all feasible? to me, cutting down on the AI's frequency of both releases and waiver wire moves would be a great step in the right direction.
not that 6.5 isn't seemingly taking 40 of those steps in the right direction!! but this would be an option i would very much appreciate.
