I don't back-up my leagues, but I've lost some in the past that I really cared about. The problem for me is that, like jazzrack, I hate replaying stuff I've already played. So, unless I backed up every single game day, I wouldn't want to replay it anyway.

I figure a league crash simulates a league-ending strike by the players, even if it means no World Series. Sounds a little too much like real life, doesn't it?

I once lost a league 25+ years in, but it was losing one player that killed me - a pitcher in the league was 37 years old, had won 10 Cy Young awards, and was at 497 wins, and still going strong. He was going to get at least 520+ at the rate he was going...
