I've been messing around with this. Not as easy as you'd think, in large part *because* of all the stuff you can tweak (hit and run frequency, steals, sacrifices (BTW, how the F am I supposed to make sure that sacrifices are true to form if I can't figure out how many of them teams use?), what attributes GMs favor, what positions produce more good hitters (because DPs were so infrequent, 2nd base was considered a power position well into the 20s), how quickly the manager goes to the bullpen, how often the bullpen itself is used (I don't think there's any way we'll be able to get teams to use ace pitchers precisely the way they did back then, but I think you can get close), and around 20 million other things). Maybe I'll spend more time on it this weekend. Make good era XMLs for PS and get rid of that strange too-many-triples problem and suddenly I think the game gets very, very competitive with OOTP.
Okay, still not nearly enough in the way of stats, but you know what I mean.
