Wow
Man, I had to register for this one, almost fell of my chair here at work.
Twins winning the central again? Nope White Sox? HA HA Tigers? One word, NO Royals? Would have a problem beating Cal State. The Tribe is taking it this year, they will be the most surprising team in baseball, now consider why. 1) 1-9, they are on of the most solid hitting teams in BASEBALL, not just the AL.With Eddie Murray's constant guidance, they will again smash doubles and move runners, and in addition, the 3-4-5-6 power on this team is competitive with any team in the league. My Projections Martinez .289 28 105 Pronk .321 33 115 Blake .277 29 85 Juan-gone .255 21 77 good enough for goverment work 2) The bullpen is much improved over last year, without the bullpen meltdown in the first half of 04, the tribe would have been in first by 5 games by all star break. If Wickman places DECENT, they will contend. 3) The rotation is solid, if CC breaks out, they could be great. Westbrook developed a good sinker, which is working. Lee just needs confidence, and Elarton is on pace for a pretty decent year according to Gamons. That's all my rambling for now, good day! |

I don't think anyone has improved enough to pass the Twins.

If gin and geritol make a 3.48 ERA, I'll take eleven orders of both for the Dodgers rotation.
Also, perhaps you've heard of: Shannon Stewart, Michael Cuddyer, Torii Hunter, Jacque Jones, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer when he's healthy.

Radke's what, 32? He's a good bet to post another ERA over 4, but he'll still be a damn fine #2 starter. Especially for the AL Central.
I'd probably take Radke over Sabathia as my ace if we're just talking one season, no long-term effects. |

Yeah, we'll see...
Juan has a better chance of hitting 21 homeruns than Radke does of hitting the 3's in ERA again, mark my words. Jones? Stewart? Mauer, oh boy, scariest #2 hitters in the league. Don't get the wrong impression, Twins are a solid team, but there time has come, and why does every non indians fan in the whole world forget that we have more trade-able prospects in AAA than teams such as the Dodgers have in their whole organization? If we are contending, what do you think we would get for a Ludwick? and he's mid-tier on our prospect chart. If you're gonna argue baseball, better bring you guns, canned arguements and snide comments don't make you the "internet winner".... Last edited by Daddy Warbuk$; 03-24-2005 at 01:36 PM. |

Kid, I forgot more about baseball then you'll ever know.. Back to the subject, yeah, as you can tell I live and die Indians, so bear with me. Living in Cleveland this has been the most frustrating city to be a sports fan of, period. Only time I ever won was when I played for Michigan in college, by the way don't put to much stock in the word play, however I have sampled the best benches from hear to Texas, and let me tell ya, wood is the way to go, metal is just to chaffing for my taste..... However I do think it's coming around, Lebron, new owners, gotta believe. |
