I wasn't trying to dismiss your point, as I would like to see stats noted similar to the back of a baseball card as well. I think the most annoying result of the stat-tracking in OOTP is when a player is acquired mid-season, and is credited with breaking team records even though half of the player's statistics were accumulated with a different team. [ 04-16-2002, 10:29 AM: Message edited by: Hammer755 ] |

We have been asking or requesting since version 2. I think eventually it will happen.

Please try to be more polite, especially when you don't even have the right information, and think I'm an idiot.

..So unless a scroll option is added, IMO this would be a mistake to implement as it would cut off seasons later in a players career.

quote:
What you are asking for would require (I think, again I don't know these things, just making a guess from how the game seems to be architectured) would be for each season to have n+1 fields (one for each team and one for the total) so that the game could save the stats for each team the player could possibly be on. To me the net gain of breaking up the stats by team presently isn't worth the cost of the added storage space and pain of programming it too only show stats for the teams the player played on (rather than a bunch of teams with 0 listed).

Egad! I certainly hope Markus wouldn't program it that way.
No offense meant, but there's no need to store empty records. First, you store the number of teams a guy played for in a field. Then, for each team he played for, you store the team id and the stats. Stop when you are done. Violla, no useless, empty records.[ 04-17-2002, 05:05 PM: Message edited by: fluharty ] |
