Heard of this once before, or at least something similar:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=85554

Unfortunately it appears nothing was really figured out in that case.

it's an epidemic, I tell ya!

I fear there may not be an answer here. So far, all the players I've checked with this problem are teh suk in a very bad way, so hopefully it won't be a problem.

Still, any feedback would be appreciated.

Is this an online league? Even though teams are human controlled was auto-manage minors ever used?

What has happened, it sounds like, is a human owner has "released" a player from his roster on his machine - which effectively KILLS that player. Then, on an export, he is no longer on the team, but the database for the league still registers him as being on the team....

My guess anyway...

How many players are at each level of the minors on these teams? Is it possible that these are the "extra" players over the limit of 50 per level that are dropping off?

Ok, judging by the fact that these players are getting "promoted" every day, I would have to guess that the minors are on autopilot for that team. I'm not sure how to get the players back, but the first step would be to turn the minors back over to human control if they aren't. Then use the "Auto-manage minors" button as needed if that's what the owner prefers.

Good point. Try and fix the issue with the game options, then rework the rosters if necessary. If the game options won't fix the problem, then it's some level of corruption.

so when the team is switched from CPU to Human control, the minors could still be under CPU control?

this issue is supposed to be fixed in 6.11, and is not effecting guys who I know have been released in-game, prior to export.

There is a button on the Transactions screen that basically allows you to let the CPU move players at the click of the button so that you don't have to. That way you don't have to have auto-minors enabled at all times. As I said, I don't know if this will fix the problem entirely since it's possible that the same thing could happen when you click the button, but it's the only possible solution I can think of. I have only seen this problem once before and I don't remember the circumstances surrounding it.

Well, I have had GMs use the auto manage minors button in the transaction screen. However, is there an option, maybe in the league setup, that turns off CPU control of minors?

Each individual team has this toggle on the Team Setup screen. I couldn't access this in your league file since it's password protected, but that's my only guess for what could be leading to this. Don't get me wrong, it's still a bug of some sort. But this may allow you to stop it from happening again.

Yeah, I wouldn't have the auto-manage minors set to ON in the team setup screen. Instead, they can just click the button on the transactions screen as needed.

dola,

you're right. I just went thru the teams, and the ones with problems have computer-managed minors. Thanks, sporr.

I knew this was a bug when I reported it 3 months ago. For some reason, no one in the company reponded to that thread or this one.
