Exactly where (which CSV is processing) would make a big difference in trying to help you. Without it, all I can tell you is your CSV files are probably messed up.

Yes, type mismatch is common. Its in the CSV files which are just text. You can work with them through a decent text (i.e. not notepad).

Once you find out what is causing it, you want to make the fix in your league file so you don't get the bad data anymore. Otherwise you would have to make edits to your CSV files after every season before you do the CATO processing.

CATO is very great, but very fragile. A quick search of this forum will show you that your are only one of many having difficulties.

No Access if for the database file. You can go to download.com or something and find a text editor relatively easily. Look for text editors and find a free one that is popular, it will likely be a good choice.

Remember once you find what is wrong, you may not even need to bother with a text editor.

When you know what CSV file is causing you the problem just upload it somewhere and post a link to it. There are a lot more than I that can help you and some of them have quite a gift in finding the problem in the CSV really fast.

IMO, it easier than trying to make sure you've got the right exporter files in the right place and all that.
I would just like to let the serious chaps know that I did a search for my catobase problem and found the answer in this post.

I might be old, but I am no idiot. I suppose.
