the 1979 Rams were like 9-7 when they played Pittsburgh so 8-8 isnt too
far from that.
But what can you do? There are no other teams better than the Rams that
isnt already in the playoffs.
You cant keep the Rams from the playoffs because then another team would have a bye and it would be unfair to other teams if another team received a bye that didnt deserve it.
I always look at the regular season as the elimination tourney to get into the playoff tourney.

Regular season doesnt mean your the best until you prove it in the playoffs.
Either way you could be good in one and bad in the other.
What matters is which team is the last team standing and thats all that counts.
A few people may remember that Pitt went 15-1 but if the Rams win the Super Bowl, most will only remember the Rams winning the Super Bowl.

The Rams will go onto the turf this week and put it on the Falcons. Vick is great but the rest of the team except Crumpler and Brooking suck! Viking/Rams NFC Championship

wrong. The Falcons will destroy the Rams. The Falcons will then go on to take the NFC Championship and win in an upset at the Super Bowl.

Why? Because it's usually much colder?

I'm not arguing that.

But, I don't think they are much better than their competition compared to their past two Super Bowl runs.

Personally, the Patriots look vulnerable to me. That doesn't mean they aren't better than last year. But, the Steelers, for example, are MUCH better than they were last year.

Who watches the superbowl for the game anyway... it's an over glorified half-time show surrounded by new and expensive (and sometimes funny) commericals. The football stuff just gets in the way.
There's a game?
