Macon is very modernistic and cybernetic looking...uniquely done.
The font fits the theme of the logo very well. Nice colors, too. Your logos have very good detail work...edges are smooth and not pixelated (?) or jagged. You asked me in an e-mail what I thought of El Paso and Dayton: I really like the baseball inside the sunburst and the lettering style on the El Paso Energy...very good colors, too. The Dayton Drivers is very well done and designed...but being very picky the flags behind the car make it a little difficult to figure out at first...it might be a little cluttered and too busy...I might like the blue and pale yellow circles another color...maybe black instead of the blue next to the baseball and maybe red instead of the pale yellow. Wow Fastlane, these look great. You're cranking them out too. I really appreciate your help. Wish I knew a way to thank you.

no applause...
...just throw money, please! ....j/k...
Honestly, just honest appraisal for the work done is good for me. I enjoy doing this for others, its a fun hobby, it allows me to brush up graphic skills, and give back to the community that has helped to privide me with hours of gaming fun. I'll keep cranking them out as time allows. I've a ways to go before I hit Knuckler's and nmleague's level of prolific production or LGO's plateau of exalted excellence. (working on that vocab, too...lol) Well, I'm off like a prom dress!!!

That is great FastLane. I wish I had the tools to create some of these, however, it being the Christmas season, I am kinda short on cash. What do you use to create your logos with Photoshop, PSP, other?

What about Drivers as in Driving a fastball out of the park, would that be hard to change?

Lc..
Currently, I use Microsoft Photodraw for all my logo-making. Its a pretty-limited version of your Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro/Corel Draw family of graphics programs. But, I just recently got Paint Shop Pro, so once I get familiar with it, I'll switch to that.
I can change the graphic to a player swinging a bat in the middle, if you prefer. No problem.

FastLane, I hope I didn't waste your time.
My wife said your version of Dayton Drivers was better than mine...and she has been right far more than me in 34 years of marital bliss. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-08-2004 at 05:23 PM. |

Its a wise man...
...that can admit to that, EC. So, I give you plenty of points there! LOL.
No, it wasnt a waste of time. I never think I'm wasting time doing something I love to do.

Excellently done Dayton Drivers, FastLane.
I just loaded up some of the recent logos you and knuckler have created...just to see how they looked in the game on the midsized screens....they looked very good...none of them spotted or broke up. To me that is an important criterion for deciding to use a logo in one of my leagues...all of the logos look good on the game's large screen...it is the midsized screen look that is decisive for me. |

I appreciate you looking that up for me. Sometimes the obvious can go right over my head...

It should be Macon Inferno....I am so sorry. I was wondering why you made a Macon Energy logo, then when I saw the list, I was wondering why I had two teams named the energy. Then I looked in OOTP and noticed it was Inferno and not Energy. I really like that Macon logo though, maybe in a year or so the team can "move" to Macon.
