Yea, he does. And it's also not like his salary is preventing George from signing anyone. I guess in New York it doens't matter how much you make.

I would say that's not really paid for his leadership skill on the field. Leadership is more like a made up quality that Yankees put on him to make marketing easier.

Any sporting website usally offers free newsletters for the latest sporting news. And yes, they are are free. They do offer packages where you pay a membership fee. Those emails are more accurate and more indepth about the events going on.

It was a sad day for me when ESPN turned their "Rumor Mill" into a pay service.

Sosa for Green??!??

I can DEFINITELY understand why Chicago would make that trade, but L.A.??

I have no clue why they would make it... unless they didn't like the fact that Green wanted to take time off for his religion during the run... and I really hope that had nothing to do with the decision making process....

The article I read this morning said DePodesta was not "keen" on Sosa. Good to hear he's not that crazy.

Latest rumour is Mike Piazza

Why are the Dodgers so eager to get rid of this guy?

The Piazza rumor was being discussed before I even heard about the Sosa rumor. It seemed to go away with the talk of Sosa, but now that the Sosa deal seems unlikely, the Piazza deal has come back for a breath of fresh air.

I'd rather have Sosa then Piazza.

Forgot about the other rumor earlier this week.... Brazoban and somebody else from the Dodgers to the Pirates for Kendall and Craig Wilson.

I'd rather have Green than either of them. At least with Green you know he's going to be in the line-up everyday. Green also got hot in the second half last year. I'm hoping he's found his swing again.

Dodgers need a catcher (although Piazza may be toast)

Haven't heard anything more about the Kendall deal since Monday. Don't know what happened with it.

I thought Piazza was a 1B? Besides, at this pioint I think Green might be better behind the plate than Piazza.

No question, i'd rather have Green also. But since LA is throwing Greens name around to NYM for Piazza, or to CHI for Sosa i'll definitly take Sosa over Piazza if it mant Green was leaving town. I understand that the Dodgers need a Catcher, but his skills are far more deminished then Sosa's at this point i think. in fact, the Mets had to resort to him playing 1B...

During the talk on the radio, they said 1B was a failed experiment and that Piazza did not want to play there.... one of the reasons the Mets supposedly want to dump him.
