Wow Markus, you amaze. And you're twenty five years old?!
I just turned 22, which means when OOTP first came out, you were my age. I'm glad your just about my age too - selfishly, it means I'll have OOTP goodness until the day I day! Sorry, not to be morbid, but if you have accomplsihed this much so quickly, you are certainly destined for greatness... Ahem... I'm done smooching your rear now. Have a good break, you deserve it. |

Remember though, Orson Wells was about 25 when he wrote and directed 'Citizen Kane' and look what happened to his career (not to mention his waistline) after that.
Just kidding but I know for some OOTP is the 'Citizen Kane' of text baseball sims. ![]() [ March 14, 2002: Message edited by: Dan Lorenzen ]</p> |

wow only 25...ya know last year i had visions of developing my own baseball sim when i was a freshman in college. i had it all planed out. i figured it would take me a year or wateva. and even though i had no experience in developing graphics, i figured the most important thing was the foundation and writing the lines of code. i later found out computer science was not for me, and even though i could make a decent, really watered down baseball sim right now, i'm not goin to. i'm studyin business management now with a minor in CIS. i feel i can make a better effect on the gamin world with that skill as it is better suited for my personality and goals.
thanks for the patch Markus and happy birthday! |

Happy Birthday Markus. I've just started college and am considering possibly going into programming and I must say your an inspiration for what you've been able to accomplish by the age of 25.

Happy birthday, Markus! Great job with OOTP4, especially the improved AI. I'm very impressed with this patch- it's great to see that you pay attention to your customers' concerns!

I've always found the contract extension period is the least challenging part of the game. It would be cool if players nearly always shopped around unless they had a degree of loyalty to you, and also if the 'reverse negotiation' but were fixed (whereby you make a good offer then keep lowering it until they refuse). Contract negotiations usually end up being like a Monty Python sketch. Jason
