Yeah i think Gabriel is goona have a year almost like Porter's in 2002. Except that he wont have as many chances without the 3 wide receiver set.

My pick though its more of a come back player would be Rich Gannon.
Yeah i know call me crazy?
But when Gannon had only one deep threat in 2002 he had an awsome season.
Now he has Porter, Gabriel, Francis, Whitted.
Plus it looks like the raiders have a running game this year.
With a defense, better coaching, running game, deep threats, i dont think you can just concentrate on Gannon's short passes. He doesnt have to heave the ball 60 yds we have Collins for that. If Gannon can just get the ball 25-30yds and let the receiver do the rest. And even if he doesnt complete it, theres always the threat that he will. Last year the raiders had no choice but to throw short passes because they had no deep threat without a healthy Porter and everything else sucked. The short passing game can only work if everything else works.
Last year it was like trying to put out an inferno with a water pistol.

Shane Matthews. Everybody who thinks Bledsoe will survive the season intact and/or that J.P. Losman will be healthy and ready to start by the time Bledsoe goes down, raise your hand.

Will be the starter by the 3rd week of the season if not sooner. Size, speed and the dude catches everything, not to mention he plays for the team that put Shannon Sharpe in the Hall of Fame.

I think Elway probably had more to do with that.

I should really start charging for this stuff. Both Gates and Walker went on to be top-tier fantasy players at their positions...too bad the latter got injured. Oh, and I totally whiffed on my Harrington and Chambers guesses. But hey, 2/4 ain't bad compared to how others fared in this thread in hindsight...

Well to be fair, Walker wasn't that hard to call. He had improved significantly from year 1 to year 2, and 3rd year is when receivers normally improve the most. And he had Brett Favre throwing to him. I actually named him one post before yours. And I didn't say it was going to be one of Walker/Ferguson, i was more specific.

Gates was nice, however.

Oh yeah, totally...I'm not trying to take all the credit or anything. I just like to bump old threads full of bold predictions to see how they turn out so everyone can read back over them and enjoy them and rib me about putting Harrington and "sleeper" in the same sentence.
