keenejee, you say that collins, bulger, brunnell, etc are to inconcsistent to be top 12 yet you have Aaron "Oh ****, its the last 6 games of the season, gotta choke" Brooks up there?
Pennington, while having all the brains, has a very weak throwing arm. Anything beyond 25 yards and its more of a lob throw. I can remember countless times where Santana Moss would haveto come back or slow up drastically because it took so long for the pass to arrive. The Raiders probably took Collins over Gannon because they didn't think Gannon had much left in the tank after the surgery. Their O-line will be greatly improved with Gallery and the center they drafted in the 2nd round who was ranked the #1 center. |

). Times have changed.#2 I think one can accuratly rate the best 3 or 4 - beyond that is too subjective to last year - IMO. If by Brooks you mean Aaron - he has no place on the list. I'd same the same for Vick right now. Plummer? (with the right players around him) - you mean, like, the 1990's All Decade Team? But that's what I mean - there is not 14 elite QBs in the NFL. There are 3, maybe 5 guys - and then the rest to various degrees. Right now I would put Pennington in the top 5 - at a stretch. Arm strength is not a required "top 5 attribute". Montana could not touch Marino in arms strength, etc. Last edited by cooper_gd; 05-24-2004 at 04:50 PM. |

Just saw on ESPN that Gannon will remain the starter. However..Oakland will want to restructure his contract.
