I'm into SmartFTP right now to check this all out...where it asks for address is ftp.web1000.com with login (my username), password and port 21.

for OOTP, i have the ftp server address as ftp.web1000.com and the username and etc etc etc.

Should I try using the username, RedSoxBullpen_web1000_com, and mixing it in with the ftpserver address to see how it works?

I don't know how your host has their servers setup. I know with mine, their login is username@yourdomain.com. Then again, with mine, the server name is just yourdomain.com, so we already know that is different. So, it's quite possible that this is setup differently too.

I'm sorry but at this point I am out of ideas.

This would be unusual, from what I can tell. It’s like you’d be trying to ftp things to the main, central Web1000 Inc. company root server. You’ve got your webhosting company’s home ftp address as your personal webspace ftp address.

While it’s possible that Web1000 has their system set up to grab your ftp transfer to their generic address and somehow route it to your webspace, it’s unlikely. All the ‘test connection’ is doing is pinging the address, is it not? It’s not trying to upload a sample file or anything, to see if it has that permission.

Exactly what I thought. However, he did say that he was able to use this same information in an FTP program, so it must be the way they have their server setup.

Web1000 isn't a host you should rely on at all. I've had nothing but bad luck when I tried to host a league there. If you do need a host. I'd suggest you pay for it (it's far worth it, with the support you can get). Or if you talk to me, I can supply you some.
