Maybe you should call Vegas with your advice, you could be a rich man!!
agreed,

I think only one of the WEEI team picked a blowout, and people must remember that the score is sometimes deceiving when it comes to the NFL. The Pats won a number of close-score games this year, and I could probably attach the "blowout" moniker to at least a couple of them.

IMO, the NE fanbase was very excited and boisterous at about the 19th of January. I think that over-excitement quickly turned to trepidation as the game drew near, and the Red Sox fan in most of them crept up and kicked them back into reality.

I did not see the "Pats fans and some people on these boards were throwing out outrageous scores though lol", but I'm sure they existed. Just like you would see people guessing the the Yankees would win in 4 against the Fish. By comparision, wouldn't that be equal to a "blowout"?

People can "predict" whatever they want, and guess what? NEWS FLASH! Most of the time THEY'RE WRONG!

I'm "guessing" that there's a "chance" that we'll be in Jacksonville next year having this same damn discussion.

Depending on your definition of "blowout". If yours is a final score differential of 17 points or more, then the SB ended in a "blowout" 14 of 38 times or 37%.

...away from the subject of a blowout, I think it is fair to say that John Kasay 'blows'. What a brilliant time to shank a kickoff out of bounds!!11 What are the odds that the game was headed to OT if the Patriots start somewhere well behind their own 40-yard-line? Maybe, maybe not, but it sure doesn't help when you screw your defense by setting the other team up in such prime field position.

Must be some syndrome that John Fox carried down from New York...

Otherwise, it was a good game (at least for 2 minutes in the first half and all of the 4th Quarter). I hope Jake Delhomme finds success in the future and isn't a one-year flash in the pan because it was good to see him do nothing for the better part of a half and be able to shake that off and keep his team in the game.

I predicted the Panthers would win and they might have if the idiot didn't put that kickoff out of bounds.

It was a great game as Superbowls go. I was really hoping for the first overtime Superbowl.

Big ups to Rizon who predicted the Pats winning by 3 points.

Also, the Panthers coach is a total fool for going for 2 points the first time. That gave him no choice the 2nd time they blew it. The first time, I was screaming explicatives at the TV. Huge coaching error for going for the 2 points with that much time left in the game.

Congrats to the Pats!

Had to laugh this morning while listening to the Mike and Mike show on ESPN radio. Dickie Vitale comes on to do his stock up stock down bit and rants about John Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds giving the Patriots the ball on the 30 yd line.

Wait, what?!?!? Stick to what you know Dickie V (just not sure what that is)

Where's the love for andjbock? Guess it doesn't count because of his scores being off, but unless my Beaverton math is wrong, he got within something under four.

Gerry McNamara is just a super scintilating sensational player baby! This super sophmore can get in done in the paint and he can step outside and hit the trifecta! This blender and skywalker is a PTPer baby, and a big reason why Syracuse has been so great in prime time!

I actually predicted NE to win by a 24 point FG

I think he was being a smartass

I'd rather listen to that than, "Throw it down big fella!"
